Refund! Woohoo!
Big refund. All spent replacing washer, dryer and refrigerator.
Refund! Helps that I was unemployed for the first 3 1/2 months of last year, probably.
Small refund but its better than owing, I guess.
Refund! and my taxes have been done since Feb. early bird special!
I owe and had to file manually bc someone already filed under my social! Good times
No clue. Filed an extension as usual. I never have time to get to this stuff until the summer. My "tax time" is always July or August when I can take my time getting it all together.
My father used to say, "If you are getting a refund, you've let the IRS use your money interest free for a year." So I always pay. Fortunately not much.
Refund. All routed to local charities, less $40 for a bowling shirt I've wanted for a while.
Owe big time! Damned IRS! Quit changing the rules all the time!
Never a refund. We always owe & Pay by installment. We pay our share, but never one minute before we have too. I work harder for my money than the government does and have the right to spend in on my family first.
Refund, paid for beach house and Vegas vacations this summer
Refund; having a child has it's benefits. Just kidding, no, not really.
I'm getting a refund, but as I owe past taxes I'm not actually "getting" it.
Refund! Bought a new ipod and a flat iron because they were both 5+years old. I filed in January and got my refund a few days before my birthday in February
Refund. I would rather get a smaller one or none. But I really don't want to owe!
Refund baby!! And it was more than last years :-D
BIG refund...Biggest I've evr gotten..Sits in the savings account until Cap't Squeako decides he needs something. Which means never gonna be spent and we need a new bed big time.
Owe big time!! Paying taxes to two states sucks as well
Refund! The majority of which I'll be using to finally install a patio in my backyard.
@nevermind. Try child plus remodeling. Two years ago my mortgage interest was about $1500. This year is was over $8,000.
Refund!
I'm getting a refund, but my BF has to pay because he's an independent contractor, so we're still in the hole. Lame.
Boooo!! I found that I owe them $500 bucks! dammit
Owed the Feds, refund from CA. All together, I'm up about $600.
Always owe..
$2K refund from the Feds, but I owe $300 to California.
Hope you filed a police report!
Refund city. Into savings it went.
I know what people say about not letting the IRS use money interest free for a year, but I'd much rather get a refund than owe. Things are tight enough without needing to scrape up to pay a tax bill of unknown size. Take it from me, month by month, in little bits that I won't miss. We'll settle the bill come Feb.
We relocated from a province with some of the highest taxes in the country (Manitoba), to the one with the lowest (Alberta) in December. Our refunds were so big my husband was re-did our taxes about 5 times before he sent it in.
We always try to maximize our RRSP contributions so we get a few grand back every year.
It's sitting in the bank waiting to help pay for our trip home to the East Coast - airfare is absolutely ridiculous!
Extension, but will probably owe this year. :(
Haven't done mine yet...I should probably get on that! *L* I usually get 5 or 6 bucks back - but I'll take it over having to pay!
I fill out my tax information correctly so I neither pay nor owe. It's pretty nice.
Owed taxes this year.
$1k refund, woot-woot! i filed in Jan. So the refund is LONG gone.
Refund..we get about $9Gs on our return. Woot!
First time in FOUR years that we are getting a REFUND! Hallelujah!
owes over $6000. so yah. awesome.. I don't even make 40k a year
owes over $6000. so yah. awesome.. I don't even make 40k a year
Owed about $250. Thank Zod I bought a house this year or it would have been thousands. It was an unusual year for me financially.
refund. aka i'm getting my money that i earned with my labor and mind.
gee, how generous.
@Snapdragon. Boy do I agree with that. I always withhold S-0 or S-1 (once I had a kid,) because I'm not going to save the money and that mythical interest that everyone thinks you're going to get from investing just isn't worth having to scramble to pay them when the time comes.
None. We owe 10k. The gov't comes for small businesses first. :(
I am getting a teensy refund which I'll more than likely give to state taxes. The wheel it turns.
Decent refund here, hopefully will spend some time in savings, lol

Oh ya! And was on hold 25 minutes today with the IRS to give them a case #
I'm self-employed, so I ALWAYS have to pay. Makes sense, I guess, since I didn't pay anything all year. The best part is all the deductions I get from being self-employed. I pay SO much less tax that way!
What is a "refund"? I've never gotten one. I'm paying enough in taxes to support a family of six in high style.
