Blind Item #2

This late night actor is always on the edge of being fired and only his relationship with the showrunner has kept his position when anyone else would have been fired. Even that is on its last legs after several burned bridges. He acts like the star of the show, rather than the unnecessary bit player he really is.

He's not that funny.

I can't help but feel sorry for Pete. That poor boy just needs a good cry in his mommas arms

Aquagirl said...

The latest is that Pete wants to have a baby.

Also, he thinks he’s ‘outgrown’ SNL.

Lily Rose said...

He and Lorne are close? Really? I thought Lorne didn't do close. He let Farley spin out of control, and fired him. Pete stays and stays and STAYS.

TeeHee@U said...

Oh. Pete Davidson. He always, like most 15 minuters confuse headlines with sustainability and 15 years.

The only reason he was famous for so long is that he dated Ariana Grandehole.

Pete Davison. Losing his father so young did a number on him. He needs help desperately. Hope he gets it.

Pete / Lorne
Take is Lorne saw Pete doing standup and took him under his wing. Not sure how many more chances he can give him though, although I read that Lorne felt sorry about Pete’s dad so maybe there is a weird father/son thing happening?

Sometimes enty's personal biases against people seem to cloud his judgement. I wouldn't call Pete a bit player even if you don't like him.

Pete apparently says he's not sure if snl is laughing with him or at him

I'm from the UK and superscribe to the SNL youtube channel. F*** me the 'comedy' skit's are embarrassingly bad. The musical guest and monologue are the only thing worth saving.

Pete D I hope he gets the help he needs

I know people always say SNL is at it's worst time ever, but right now it really is. Mckinnon is carrying that show.

Pete/Lorne
Lorne prob feels badly for Pete due to losing his dad at such a young age in the 9/11 attacks. I think we all should feel empathy for him. I don't care for his humor necessarily but I hope he gets help and goes on to live a full life.

He is absolutely delusional, he gets very little air time and obviously contributes/works way less than anyone else. He's taking his I Was Engaged to Ariana Act on the road, it can keep him afloat for a few more months.

Do Tell said...

Is Lorne afraid that Pete will commit suicide if he fires him? That's no reason to keep someone employed. Wouldn't be on lorne's head.

Pete did say that he feels the only reason he's still on the show is so they can ridicule him. Perhaps it is time for him to leave.

SNL hired him to be a new Adam Sandler who, when he was young on that show, had the same role Pete does now. Unfortunately for Lorne, Adam was funny and cute and endearing and Pete is a fucking junkie mess who isn't the least bit funny. And he called Louis C.K. a POS yesterday--look in the mirror sonny.

Do Tell said...

I was surprised when I learned that Lorne actually fired Sandler.

Clark Green said...

Time to kick the dope to the curb Lorne. He is bringing down the show. Talentless loser.

Do Tell said...

Frankly, he wasn't wrong, Louis CK is a POS.

Lorne probably can't get enough of Pete's BDE. Just kidding. Look at it from Lorne's perspective. He used to have a show of stars. Now he's got a bunch of nobodies and losers. Pete is his biggest star just by virtue of the fact that he used to stick his d!ck in the a$$ of a tiny italian american pop princess who pretends she's latina. 90% of the show is like a sh!tty improv group.

@longtimereader. Does YouTube have SNL circa 1080 - 1995ish? I can't find those episodes anywhere and that's the only era worth watching (to me).

hunter said...

@Soapdish - I have friends who have lost parents and in real life you're not allowed to blame all your problems on this for eternity like people seem to do for Davidson and Prince Harkle.

Mrs Libnish said...

Correction: 1980 - 1995ish

PhillyWilly said...

@Do Tell, LCK may be a pos, but his worst ever 10 minutes of standup is 10x better than anything that druggie has ever produced.

Marlin said...

@hunter, I’m not making excuses for him. Just giving what I feel is an explanation. Everyone handles grief differently. Come preach to me after you suffer a very tragic and very public loss as a young child.

David Andrews said...

I think SNL cast and writers have been quite good in the Trump years. I don't understand why Pete is less funny or more obnoxious than Adam Sandler. Pete needs some movies. He would have been great in a Scorsese movie if those were still on. Or in Ray Donovan.

Fashionfluff said...

I met Pete last week in DC with Colin Jost and Steve Byrne. I was amazed at people's reactions to Pete...they're obsessed and completely enchanted by him. He seems like a genuinely nice guy, but very messed up.

Brayson87 said...

@Fashion, Were the people trying to buy drugs from Pete? That wasn't obsession that was desperation. ;)

Brayson87 said...

+1 hunter, I even knew people who helped put their parents in jail but they still grew up to be fine adults. Everyone carries some demons and regrets.
It's like the old pedo excuse, oh they were abused as children themselves, that's why they did it. Actually most abused children do not grow up to be abusers, so that logic is sh!t.

Don't Mind Me... said...

Thank you, @hunter!

And Pete has the face of a frozen tilapia

Mahogany1 said...

Just watched his New Netflix show. Not bad he is funny but the media has taken attention and his anxiety weren't a good mix. He makes fun of his pass while giving a little insight. 20 years ago we would think he was a genius.

BTW I don't understand the comment about his eyes. He looks like the tall pot head who was Kool with everyone in school.

+100000 marlin. I know orphans and they have been angry all their lives. People have no empthy. So sad

Sd Auntie said...

Big SNL fan and PD always makes me smile. Have not seen his stand up but understand Lorne feeling protective over someone who lost their dad during a terrorist act. And he is supposed to GET OVER IT?? Hell no and NEVER. You go PD and stay clean

Don't Mind Me... said...

Well @Sd Auntie, I'm not a druggie and I don't have the face of a dead fish. So yeah, I'm doing well.

I also lost a parent at a young age, but I didn't seek out pity and turn that into a career as an unfunny comedian. It also didn't make me a drug addict nor an asshole to others

Sd Auntie said...

Sorry about your loss and acting out could go either way. Sometimes tough love will backfire.

Thot Crimes said...

Pete's there to perpetuate the 9/11 myth; that's his only talent. Any other douche would have already been gone.

Don't Mind Me... said...

Thank you. Yes, tough love can backfire. But indulging self-destructive behaviors will almost always end in more tears
