Back in the day, this A list singer made a lot of money from his singing. He also very much had a Jack Nicholson type situation going on in his personal life. Despite being A list and being a singer and an actor, the thing our singer loved doing more than anything was pimping out his A list actress wife. Everyone loves his wife and wanted to sleep with her and for the entirety of their marriage he would pimp her out almost every night to anyone who could afford his fee. He would charge whatever he thought he could get for her and he made more money doing that than in he earned for singing and acting. Part of that was because he put a lot more energy into pimping out his wife who was the inspiration for the lead character in this Broadway musical turned movie which spawned at least one sequel. She is even mentioned in one of the songs. After they got divorced, our actress never worked again. There is a rumor that she poisoned him after they got divorced which is why his health rapidly declined and he died a few years after they divorced.
