Dina Lohan Was Paid $50K for Dr. Phil Interview

I'm not usually a big fan of paying people for interviews, but Dr. Phil got his money's worth and if you get Dina Lohan drunk and on pills or whatever else she was doing and only have to pay her $50K for it, then I think you have her on every week. Hell, just throw her on a couch in the corner of the studio and every so often have the camera pan over to her and ask her what she is up to. Most of the time she will probably be passed out with a cigarette in her mouth or rambling incoherently about how all her kids are big stars.

The magical button that keeps it on there forever when all of your other programs have been deleted because you set up a program to record Gold Rush and wake up one morning to find that not only has Discovery run a marathon of Gold Rush episodes but that QVC had their Gold Rush 6 hour extravaganza the same day. It has happened to me. Twice. I don't know how and why QVC and Discovery became attached at the hip, but they have. All my programs gone. Dr. Phil Assisted In His Own Vasectomy

I have a new found respect for Dr. Phil. Not so much as an interviewer or advice giver, but he is way tougher than I thought. The man assisted in his own vasectomy. In an interview with Newsweek, Dr. Phil talked about how he got a vasectomy at the age of 29 and the nurse had already gone home so he handed all the instruments to the doctor who was doing the snipping. Seriously? Did he jog home after it was over too? Damn Dr. Phil. He later had it reversed because he said it was the greatest regret of his life and six weeks after that his wife was pregnant.

Dr. Phil Offers Most Money - Gets The Anthony Parents

On the season premiere of Dr. Phil which is set to air on September 12, he has managed to land the parents of Casey Anthony. Considering they had previously stated they would not appear anywhere for less than a $1M, I guess Dr. Phil made Oprah dig through her couch for loose change and she found a million or two in the cushions. You know, because she is Oprah. At this point I am surprised she cannot just clap her hands and people bring her money on serving trays covered in gold with a big O on them.

Dr. Phil says he is going to be hard hitting with the parents of Casey Anthony. Hard hitting would be to have Nancy Grace come in and take a turn with them for 20 minutes. To Dr. Phil, hard hitting is rattling off a series of folksy expressions and hoping they somehow combine into a coherent sentence.

"When you take a mouse by the ears, it only makes them wish they were leading a horse to water but hoping to make him drink, while my son screws Hef's old girlfriend."

What Do You Think?

Dr. Phil has been known to say some crazy things in the past, and I think this latest thing is right up there. On his website he answers questions from readers and viewers. One woman said she has a son with two older sisters. The mom says that the boy likes to play with Barbie dolls and even wears girl clothes and she does not think it is normal. Dr. Phil's advice?

"Direct your son in an unconfusing way. Don't buy him Barbie dolls or girl's clothes. You don't want to do things that seem to support the confusion at this stage of the game ... Take the girl things away, and buy him boy toys."

Shouldn't you just let the kid be a kid? How is this different from Shiloh wearing boy clothes? Would Dr. Phil tell Brangelina to stop letting her wear boy clothes and to force her to wear dresses and other feminine things? Would he advise that she should only be bought girl toys and to take away any GI Joe toys she has?

Dr. Phil Is An Idiot

Imagine that you had your very own talk show which reached millions of people everyday. Because you are a pet lover you decide to do a show on animals. Abuse of animals and also people who help animals. You think to yourself that having a celebrity come on and bring their pets would be a great idea too. You are big enough that you can have any celebrity you want. Do you pick Sandra Bullock? Nope, can't do that because of well, you know. How about Bob Barker or Betty White? They are huge pet lovers who are well respected. Nope, not them either. Hmm, well how about Katherine Heigl who devotes hundreds of hours and thousands upon thousands of dollars in her crusade? Nope. Not her either.

Well, if you are Dr. Phil he decided that the person he wanted to speak out for animals, was Paris Hilton. Yep. The woman who doesn't even know how many dogs she has. The woman who showed up on Dr. Phil and didn't look like she had ever met the dogs she claimed were hers. The same woman who once had 18 dogs which was a violation. A woman who has been accused by her staff of putting her pets in cupboards when they become too much to handle and have her staff deal with them instead.

Paris Hilton has been repeatedly accused of abusing her pets. She must have thought she died and went to heaven when Dr. Phil came calling and said they wanted to honor her for her work with animals. Seriously? Has anyone at Dr. Phil heard of Google? Google Paris Hilton and animal abuse and see how many hits you get.

Dr. Phil should be ashamed for having Paris on to be the pet's champion.

Kelly Osbourne & Dr. Phil

Today is the premiere of Kelly Osbourne on Dr. Phil. Wow, that sounds pornographic doesn't it? How about today Kelly will work on Dr. Phil. Hmm, that sounds pretty bad too. Dr. Phil hires Kelly to give him a hand? Nope. Anyway, beginning today Kelly Osbourne will begin appearing on a recurring basis to help Dr. Phil dispense advice based on her own battles with weight and life and addiction. This could be very good for her and a nice career move. It also has to be scary for her because last time she started giving advice to Amy Winehouse, Kelly was the one who ended up in rehab. Unlike her mother, I think Kelly would be good on a talk show and lets face it, Harpo is a great place to work if you want your own show. Plus, she will be learning under Dr. Phil. See, there I go again.

"I am excited to be a part of Dr. Phil as a contributor for the show. It offers a great opportunity for me to bring a youthful perspective and opinion on the issues that affect our selves, our families and society as a whole, and I'm very honored to be a part of it. Dr. Phil Lawsuit Is One For The Ages

When reporters tried to reach Dr. Phil's spokespeople for a comment about a recent lawsuit filed against him in a Los Angeles court, the spokespeople could not be reached for comment. My guess is they can't breathe because they are laughing so hard.

Shirley Rae Dieu has sued Dr. Phil for false imprisonment, practicing without a license, indecent exposure, battery, fraud and more.

Here is how Shirley said all of this happened.

Back in 2007 she was being treated by Dr. Phil when she was "forced to be in the same room with a completely live naked man while he exposed his entire naked body, genitals and all."

But wait, there's more.

She was brainwashed and "subjected to edited tapings depicting her as a different personality other than her own."

Dr. Phil also copped a feel back in 2007 during a therapy session.

People Magazine managed to talk to Shirley and she said another woman will be joining the lawsuit. Uh huh. She says that Dr. Phil isn't like the man we see on television.

I just want to know if Oprah was involved.
