Melissa Gilbert and Timothy Busfield got married yesterday. Yep, on a Wednesday. They are new the Saturday and April is the new June.

It was only 8 months ago that Timothy Busfield went on a date with a woman in Los Angeles and the next day was being accused of sexual assault. Now the actor is engaged to Melissa Gilbert. Timothy was cleared of the sexual assault charges after prosecutors decided there was not enough evidence that Timothy had groped the woman's breasts and genital area without her permission. It is tough to prove a crime like that. Melissa must have liked him though and I guess their dates went better than that one in May. I wonder if he had not been cleared if Melissa would be getting engaged to him.

Melissa Gilbert Suffers A Concussion On Dancing With The Stars

Apparently Melissa Gilbert suffered a concussion during her performance on Dancing With The Stars last night. Well, that is what she said. She also has whiplash and wants to make sure she gets as many sympathy votes as possible the next several weeks because she Tweeted about it several times last night. Was her brain that jiggled around that she got a concussion. The whiplash I don't have a problem with. I can see that, but the concussion seems a bit much. Does this mean there will be no more paso dobles? Melissa left the show early and was rushed to the hospital but was sent home after receiving treatment. So, does this mean she is out? Concussions would be serious and you are more likely to get another if you have suffered one. If she really did get one, why would producers chance her getting another? I think sometime in the next few days that diagnosis might be revisited.

Would Your Ex See Sex Photos Of You?

Buried in a story in The Enquirer about Melissa Gilbert being in love with some guy she met in France over New Years is a line that says something about Melissa till being technically married and that her husband still gets jealous. When he saw sexy bedroom photos that Melissa and her new guy had taken, he apparently got jealous and upset. Huh? First of all Melissa just met the one guy and two days later was taking photos in bed with him. Second of all, how did her ex see the photos? They don't live together do they? So how does he see them? He comes over to pick up the kids and she says, "Hey want to see me naked in bed with this new guy I started seeing?" How do you get to that point in a conversation?

Publishers Want A Melissa Gilbert Ex Tell All

Apparently publishing companies don't want the happy family version book they got from Melissa Gilbert this time. Instead they want her ex husband Bruce Boxleitner to write a book that tells everything he knows. The Enquirer goes into some detail about what they think Bruce knows like Melissa's coke and booze habit. Apparently she was drinking two bottles of wine every night at one point and doing coke.

Oh, and while she was getting pregnant while dating Rob Lowe, it turns out the reason he dumped her when she told him she was pregnant, was maybe not because she was pregnant, but because it may have been the baby of another. Turns out she was also dating Scott Baio and Tom Cruise at the same time she was dating Lowe. Hmm. Well, I am guessing the baby was probably not Tom's baby, but I could see it being Scott's baby. Oh, and all of that happened while she was just 17, so imagine what the next few years of her life were like. I think a better bet would be a book by her first ex-husband. It would seem he probably had more insight into the really bad Melissa.

Melissa Gilbert Spills Dirt On Rob Lowe And Shannen Doherty

In this age of Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, it is easy to forget that back in the day, Melissa Gilbert pretty much was the it girl and dated anyone and everyone she wanted. Well, she just finished writing a tell all book and it actually tells all. So far. I mean I get all excited about these things because of the excerpts and then it turns out the only good parts were the ones they released in advance. That is why I always suggest that before buying a celebrity book, spend some time in your book store and read scattered pages to see if there are more stories, or just one story and a bunch of pats on the back.

Oh, speaking of books. Yesterday there was this big scandal on the internet about how the show runner from Dawson's Creek trashed Katie Holmes and the entire cast. They acted like it was all this huge news. The guy wrote a book a few years ago and said the exact same thing but no one freaked out. I guess when it is in a book no one notices, but when it is on the internet, then it must be true.

Anyway, back to Melissa. Here are two excerpts. One is from People and one is from Star. Both are only in the actual magazines and not a link to their site.

Rob and Melissa met when he was 14 and she was 17. They were together for a long time and were totally in love and in 1986 he asked her to marry him. So far so good right? Well, everything was great until the day Melissa told Rob she was pregnant. "Finally, with [Rob's] voice trembling and tears in his eyes he said very softly, 'I can't be a father,' Before I could respond, he said, 'I can't be a husband. I'm so sorry,'"

Nice move Rob.

Shannen Doherty is probably not on Melissa's Christmas card list. Melissa Gilbert and Bo Brinkman were married from 1988-1992. It was during that marriage, that Shannen Doherty decided, that according to Melissa at least, that Shannen wanted to be like Melissa. The best way to do that was to seduce Bo. Melissa implies in the book that it was Shannen who sought Bo out, purely because she wanted to be like Melissa" and adds that when Gilbert learned of the affair, "Shannen just looked her straight in the eye, smirked and made a snide comment."

Now, in 1992, Shannen was just 19. Melissa doesn't say how old Shannen was when this affair happened. The fact she doesn't could lead one to speculate that perhaps Shannen was a minor when it happened. Nice Bo.
