This northern newspaper has taken multiple looks at the marriage story. This matters because the newspaper is not operating as an adjunct of the current A++ lister. Probably polar opposites. Its reporters searched marriage records, divorce records, university records, addresses, business licenses and other public databases.

And after doing so, the newspaper could “neither conclusively confirm nor rebut” the allegation that a 1/435th was married to a sibling. Yes, those are quotation marks because it was a quote. That is worth remembering whenever someone tells you the story was “debunked.” It wasn’t. It was unproven.
