Ask Jenna Elfman Questions About Anything Except Scientology

Reddit AMAs are most fun when something goes wrong or when celebrities answer everything posed to them. What people really dislike is when in an Ask Me ANYTHING, celebrities ignore the anything part. Jenna Elfman of Dharma & Greg fame held an AMA about her new sitcom Imaginary Mary, which premiered last night on ABC. She answered a lot of complimentary questions, but refused to answer any questions about Scientology. Here, is the thing. If you are so proud of being a Scientologist and think, that despite its horrible reputation ou still embrace it and give them a ton of your money, don't you think should be able to talk about it with people? The fact you won't, speaks volumes. Jenna probably was on the other end of the computer doing one of her famous freak outs and screaming and yelling at people. I wouldn't be surprised if she just bailed on the thing and let some PR person do the thing.

The only questions Elfman responded to were questions submitted by people who had joined the site within the past hour preceding the AMA. So, yes Sea Org members.

A Future SeaOrg Member

Laura Prepon and Ben Foster announced they are expecting a child together. No doubt this is the culmination of what their Scientology masters wanted. You will recall that Ben strayed when he dated and fell in love and asked Robin Wright to marry him. When Robin refused to join Scientology, they split. He ended up getting back together with her and all hell broke loose. So, back into some deep auditing sessions for him.

Laura's error was not devoting enough time to the Church. With the success of OITNB, she had let things slide. So, how do they atone for their mistakes? They become a couple that the news media will discuss. Now, it looks like they have taken it one step further with this baby and future SeaOrg lifer.

US Weekly Throws Leah Remini Under A Bus

The world needs more statements from Leah Remini. It needs statements from her about every day she spent in Scientology. The world needs this because Leah spent every second not at work at the Church from the time she was a teen. She also has a certain standing and public profile which not only gives her a forum for speaking but also a measure of safety against any retaliation from Scientology that might befall another less well known member who tried to make the same type of statements. When Leah was a member of Scientology I didn't have many nice things to say about her. It takes a ton of courage to walk away from that group. It takes even more courage to talk about what happened because you know that every word you say is going to invite an attack against you and your family.

So, the last thing Leah or any other person who breaks free from the group is to have a weekly tabloid like US Weekly go to Scientology looking for a statement you and I and US knows will be hateful. US Weekly not only published the statement it also threw up an exclusive tag to it and they seem really proud that they got to release a statement that bashes Leah.

"It comes as no surprise that someone as self-absorbed as Leah Remini with an insatiable craving for attention would exploit her former faith as a publicity stunt by rewriting her history with it, including omitting that she was participating in a program to remain a Scientologist by her own choice, as she was on the verge of being expelled for her ethical lapses," a rep for the Church tells Us Weekly exclusively.

It is interesting to me that the Church never said anything publicly about her need for attention when she was with them. It only bothered them after she left. I'm not sure why US Weekly is so proud of throwing a celeb under the bus like this.

Leah Remini Didn't Want Her Daughter Audited

Leah Remini is doing press for her show The Exes and gave an interview to BuzzFeed. In the interview she says that she left Scientology because when her daughter reached the age where she would have to start being audited she decided she didn't want her daughter put through that and tried to get the COS to change its position but it wouldn't. So, she left. She says that Scientology dominated her life from her teenage years until she left. She says that even as a working actress that every second she wasn't at work that she needed to be at the Church and that she would be there all the time. She also said that never once in her adult life did she go to a friend's house and sit down and have a glass of wine because you can't be audited if you drank the night before a session so most Scientologists don't drink. This is why when Tom Cruise goes "drinking," it is one swallow of beer to show he is a man's man but never finishes the glass.

Inside A Sea-Org Meeting

The inner workings of Scientology meetings have pretty much been word of mouth up until now. A reporter has finally managed to do what many have tried in the past to do but failed. He put a camera inside a meeting of the Sea-Org. In the meeting the speaker talks about battles being weighed against Scientology. The speaker also talks about the need for money to fight the battles against people trying to bring Scientology down and says the organization needs to raise $3.5M immediately. I'm not sure why they need so much money if they are doing as well as they claim to be doing. I'm also not sure how Sea Org people are supposed to contribute considering they have already agreed to give the next billion years to the cause.

Tom Cruise Admits Katie Holmes Is A SP And Nicole Kidman Hasn't Seen Kids Since Divorce

If you have some time today you should head over to Radar who has e-mails and pages from the deposition of Tom Cruise in his lawsuit against In Touch which claimed he abandoned Suri. This is why he should have settled long before the deposition or not even filed suit. He is not going to win and he has proven every point people have argued about families being split by Scientology. In the deposition he admits Katie Holmes is a SP and that Scientology played a big part in the couple's divorce. He also admitted that Nicole Kidman has never seen Isabella and Connor since the couple got divorced. Nicole has always claimed she sees them infrequently and talks to them and this basically calls her a liar. The reason she can't see them? She is a SP so the kids can't have any contact with her.

One thing Tom's people say in some e-mails which shows you how celebrities work is that Katie lets the paps know she is leaving her building which is why when she first got divorced they would be there on the days she was looking good and absent on days when she wasn't. I have no doubts she called them because it is what celebrities do. When you see a celebrity getting papped in their own neighborhood or walking into a business directly after getting out of their car they called. Sure, if it is a night and a popular place then there might be a pap or two or the pumpkin patch all the celebrities go to there are paps waiting there the whole day but for the most part they are doing the calling themselves.

LAPD Detectives Speak With Shelly Miscavige - Close Missing Persons Case

And just like that, what could have been something that blew apart Scientology kind of fizzled out as LAPD detectives have spoken to Shelly Miscavige, and met her in person and the missing persons case that Leah Remini filed has now been closed. Shelly had not been seen in public since 2005 or by high ranking members of the church like Leah Remini, but within a few hours of getting the case, Shelly was dragged out from wherever she has been the last seven or eight years and satisfied detectives enough that they closed the case. So, where has she been kept? Has she really been cut off from the outside? No knowledge of what has been going on? I wonder what she thought of being dragged from where she was kept and then put in front of detectives and wonder what kind of questions she has now. You know she probably went straight back to where they have been keeping her and she will probably stay there as long as David Miscavige is alive and running the church. Maybe in another 30 or 40 years we will hear from her again.

Leah Remini Files Missing Persons Report On Shelly Miscavige

Well, you don't see this everyday. Leah Remini has taken a huge shot at Scientology by filing a missing persons report on Shelly Miscavige (above with Leah in 2005), the wife of the leader of Scientology. She has not been seen since approximately 2005. I can't believe Leah did that. I take back the stuff I said about her not doing anything. Wow. You know that the people at Scientology must be going crazy right now. Oh, how I would love a police investigation. If anything, if Shelly is still alive, she would probably be allowed to do what she wants now. They will have to show her in public and this is such a big step. Maybe this is the end for Scientology.
