Jason Wahler Attempted Suicide Multiple Times

Former Hills star, Jason Wahler gave an interview to In Touch this week and in it said he had tried to commit suicide multiple times. I remember him admitting he was an alcoholic, but I don't remember anything about him attempting suicide. He said, "I tried taking my life multiple times. About four years ago, I took more than 10 Antabuse and was rushed to the hospital. It should’ve killed me." I have no idea if that would kill someone or not. Perhaps some of our medical professionals could advise. I think it is great that he is opening up about it. I think now he can help others who are also feeling suicidal. Wahler says he has been sober for three years now.

"The Hills" Is Coming Back For One Night

On August 9th, MTV is bringing back The Hills. For one night only there will be an episode that has never aired. Apparently there is an alternate ending to season 6 because in reality there are always alternate endings. I didn't actually get that parking ticket yesterday, but managed to arrive back at the family minivan 15 minutes earlier and avoid the ticket. After three years, there is going to be a new episode which means that everyone will have to be interviewed about ti which means there will be press given to people who I would prefer only continue to get press in the UK where they are beloved and treasured. All of the cast will be in our life again for a few weeks. Audrina will try and resurrect her career. Some of the people on the show will sell their souls for one more minute of fame. It will be just like 2010 all over again.

Kristin Cavallari's Parents Lose Their House To Foreclosure

One of the few great things about watching Laguna Beach was looking at the house Kristin Cavallari lived in while she was in high school. Yes, I watched Laguna Beach. My hatred for all things Hills came post Laguna Beach. I think two years was plenty to spend with that cast and did not need to follow them for the rest of their lives. I think the same thoughts about Jersey Shore. What is borderline sad right now with all the clubbing and smushing and no other existence in life is going to seem really bad when each of the guys is 45 and still trying to only date women in their teens. Anyway, Kristin's parents' place was incredible. I hope she has lots of memories and some clips from the show, because her parents had it foreclosed on and then sold at public auction last month when they could not pay their mortgage. According to TMZ, her parents still owed over $7.5M even after living there for such a long time. When it was sold at auction it only sold for $6.1M so you can see how much the housing market has collapsed here even for places right on the beach.

Noooooooooo - A Hills Movie

That loud sound you just heard was Speidi realizing they might get to move out of the parent's home after all and get a second chance at millions. Just when you thought it was safe to look up, someone takes one of those hammers from the beat the mole game and pounds you back down. Apparently the lifeless careers of people we thought were going to be gone forever has turned into another possible 15 minutes or longer. There is talk of a Hills movie. Why not right? The show was fake, so it is not like they are not used to scripts. Seriously though, who is going to watch a Hills movie. Even if you are one of the people who loved the show, how do you think this will look in a 90 minute movie? The show is not designed for a movie. What this is going to do though is to give a season or two of more shows. Even if the movie makes nothing, MTV will probably give them a season while they are making the movie and another season after. If the movie is a hit, then expect to see all of them again. We were thisclose to all of them getting real jobs. It is not just Speidi that is out of money. Many of them are desperate for money and are having a tough time getting jobs and it was all going to be over soon. You have no idea how depressed this makes me.

I Can Feel My Brain Cells Returning - The Hills Is Ending

After what seems like 15 years, but is probably closer to 40, The Hills is ending. It is the last shred of what was Laguna Beach. Oh wait. Is that damn Whitney Port show still on the air? OK, well as soon as that show is over then the last shred of Laguna Beach will be gone. Removed from our lives forever. The 6th season of The Hills which premieres at the end of April will be the last. The end. May they all go back to doing nothing and just making club appearances for cash. No more television. Perhaps MTV will choose to fill the void with some kind of weekly music documentary like Behind The Music or something which gives tribute to it's musical roots.

Oh, who am I kidding. The space formerly allotted to The Hills will be more of I'm 16 And Pregnant, followed by the sequel, I'm 17 And Pregnant Again, followed by a very special, I'm 14, But My Sister Got On Television For Being Pregnant, So Now I Am.

That is all a few months off though. Today the air smells a little fresher and the birds are singing a little louder. The Hills is over.

Don't Read This If You Get Sick Easily

Maybe right now you are sitting in front of your computer at a job you don't particularly care for but are desperate to keep because of the economy. Sure, the pay is for crap, but you get some insurance and you don't have to work weekends. Or, maybe you are at home and unemployed and wondering how you are going to make ends meet this month. Maybe you are at home with the kids wondering if your significant other is going to be laid off.

So, to ease your pain you turn on the television and The Hills is on. In fact just this past weekend I think they had a Hills marathon to get everyone ready for the next season. Have you sat there and looked at them and wondered just how much they are getting paid? Well, The Daily Beast found out how much each cast member is making. The least any regular on the show makes is $65,000 an episode. Yes, for having no skill at all and making no contribution to society other than annoying us, the minimum anyone makes on that show in one week is more than what 75% of the people in the US make in a year. This is not about talent or a skill like acting. It is just someone who was good looking in high school and MTV decided they fit the bill. No different from Real World just shot differently. The most anyone makes on the show? Lauren Conrad was making the most. She was making $125K an episode or $2.5M a year and she walked away from it this year. How much is she making in other promotional events that she can walk away from $2.5M a year? It won't last. She will come back. The current leader in salaries is Audrina Patridge who makes about $100K an episode.

Shoot me now.
