Today's Blind Items
This could be a first. This former B list movie actress who is still a gorgeous C+ lister who does television now to make ends meet is known for a few great movie roles. Really great roles. Like one of them should have been Academy Award nominated. Anyway, this week she went to a big event. No big deal right? Well, the driver assigned to pick her up did so from a house in one of the worst neighborhoods in LA. When he knocked on the door he found her half undressed, smoking crack with a group of guys and she made the driver wait until after her turn at the pipe. She then threw on a shirt, did nothing to her hair and went to the event and the red carpet.

Going to check big events this week with bedheads. Sad, but still intriguing.
I'm guessing the teen choice awards as the "big event". I can't think of any other big ones this week.

Gabrielle Union was at the Blackberry Torch party with messy hair.
She did movies, now does TV, is very pretty... but I don't think any of her movie roles were Oscar-worthy.
Christina Ricci looked great in today's photos. The one of her at the event, that is. I'm assuming the person in question is disheveled in her red carpet appearance.
all of the actresses I can think of who fit former movie/now tv part - Kyra Sedgwick, Mary Louise Parker, Glenn Close, Holly Hunter, Toni Collette - no way can any of them be considered C+. this is a tough one
I swear I've seen a pic of someone walking the red carpet wearing a longish shirt and disheveled hair...can't remember where I saw it or who it was. DAMN THE WEED!!!

I like mingreader's guess (Ormond). She is still very pretty, but the outfit and hair fit the bill, as does the career somewhat. (Could have been nominated for Legends of the Fall?)

As I've posted here before, I'm a chauffeur/limo driver and I see all kinds of interesting people and hear all sorts of things. I drove to the SAG and Grammy Awards this year (no one famous), and I hit it off well with some bigwig types at an LA limo company.
Alas, I'm happy in SD and do not really wish to move to LA.
But if I did, could you imagine the gossip I could give you guys?
Does Julia Ormond do television now? It sounds as if he is saying she is currently, or has been significantly, on tv. Does she fit the bill?

I thought about Julia Ormond, but she was on Lettermen recently and talked about her home life raising her son and didn't look cracky - in fact she looked a little more on the meaty side. And I mean in a nice way, like a normal person, not a hollywood lollipop type. If you're doing crack don't you look really skinny (ie Whitney Houston as a reference?).

I saw the Gina Gershon picture...she was definitely looking rough, but not crack rough? Hm...
@ Lissette - She did the movie version of RENT...and she's done Glee.
I'm only saying her because those two things fit the "hints" in the blind.
I severely doubt it her...and yes, it's because I LOVE me some Idina...even if she did do two musicals that I can't stand (Rent & Wicked).
Nightmare Child, I wouldn't drown myself in too much Maker's Mark, because that guess is pretty way off. How the heck is Idina Menzel a "former B+ movie actress"?? Up until rather recently she has done predominantly Broadway! lol

Has Cybill Shepherd been anywhere this week? Great and Oscar worthy in Last Picture Show and Taxi Driver - was considered a good movie actress early in her career. And now she's done lots of tv recently - The L Word, Drop Dead Diva...
I'm with the Gina Gershon guess. The TV part seems to imply someone who is not the star of a series but takes supporting roles from time to time, which fits her, and she has had a few memorable roles--Showgirls, Face/Off, Bound (I guess Bound could be considered nomination worthy). And I saw the Blackberry Torch picture and her hair is probably "not done" and she's wearing a shirt and she's still pretty gorgeous, if a little out of focus.
If you look at the real close ups of Gina on the red carpet for the Blackberry thing her pupils are pinpricks, her colouring is bad, and she looks rough. I was telling myself it was flashbulbs, then when I read this, well, all I could think about was Gina.
Awfully sad whomever.

I think if it were Julia Ormand, Idina Menzel or someone else with children, Enty would have mentioned that.
Also, I don't think it's anyone who is carrying a show, such as Mary Louise Parker or Toni Collette (both of whom have kids), because I think it would put them a little higher up the food chain. They are the names on their shows.
Julia Ormond looks as if she is layering clothes to try to hide a few pounds (as we all have at one time or another).

no one seems to be thinking about the phrase really great roles. Glenn Close and Holly Hunter have Oscars. I was thinking Jennifer Jason Leigh. Great roles that should have been nominated. But I don't know if she is doing TV.
I'm thinking Heather Graham for this one. Roller Girl was a stunning role, she is gorgeous, and all I recall seeing her in for years is TV, like Scrubs. (I don't watch much TV or movies...but she can look a bit "off" to me in event pix.)

Gina Gershon at the Blackberry thing was wearing a t-shirt, hair did not look bad, her usually messy style though. She could fit the C+ rating and has some god roles in past.

selenakyle -- that might be all you remember, but Heather Graham was the only female in the ensemble of last year's box-office/critic/awards show SMASH, the Hangover. She also has about eight new films in various stages of production. Definitely not her.
Like a lot of blinds, I wonder why it is in fact a blind. People know about it, so the driver obviously told others - do limo drivers sign NDA's? Why hasn't he sold the story? Taken photos? Made some cash? It's pretty juicy, I'd imagine they could have made some dough.
After reading all of the answers, I have to go with Gina.
I instantly thought of Sharon Stone. She had had a few good roles and should have been nominated for Basic Instinct. Less memorable was her performance in Casino which was forgettably nominated for an Acadamy Award in 1995. What made me think of her was that she just did a stint on Law and Order SVU. Additionally Kathy Griffin keeps taking about how crazy she is now.
I can't believe no one has said: SHARON STONE!!!!! She's been great on Law & Order SVU. She also had some great movie roles in the past. AND she's been known to look a hot mess in public.
