Rachel Bilson & Hayden Christensen Officially End Their Engagement
Considering they were never a couple in the first place and their "break" was humorous, the fact that Rachel Bilson's publicist actually released a statement saying the engagement was over makes me think Rachel is thinking about dating guys who actually are willing to be real. The statement from her publicist was only like four words which is not very fun. I was hoping it would go something like this:
"After three years together and thousands of disbelieving laughs from the public, Rachel and Hayden have decided to call off their engagement. Since we couldn't keep our stories straight about how or why or when they got engaged and Rachel never wore her ring anyway, please feel free to make up any story you like about how thy got engaged or broke up. Mad Lib style. Rachel & Hayden remain as they always were from the beginning, friends without benefits and ask you respect their privacy until they have a new movie coming out and will pretend they like you at that time."

Why so much contempt for them? Has there ever been any real, concrete evidence their relationship was fake? Not trying to hate, but there's never any objective reporting on either.

i like rachel bilson...she's cute and i think she's a decent actress. i hope she doesn't enter these contracts again...did we learn nothing from reese?
I never got the buzz over this actor. I mean, as we learned from Zoolander, there must be more to life than being really, really ridiculously goodlooking. Has he made any movies except the Leapin' one and Star Wars? The press corps sure loves him. He sneezes and we hear about it.

I tought he was so cute in "building the house" it was something like that... but then he ruined Star Wars.
@BigMama- I didn't say responsible, I said objective. Putting bias aside to actually report on a story without your opinions. I don't really give a crap about either of them, but it's stupid that each of them always gets slammed anytime their names come up.
Even my friends who pay NO attention to celebrity gossip whatsoever know that HC is gay. He'd have a much better career if he just came out and went with it. It certainly can't be worse anyway.
That was a hilarious fake press release too. It almost makes up for the intelligence-insulting releases that have been put out by their PR team for the past however long they've been "together" (and I don't care enough to look it up).
I really want a PR person to go all Steven at their job at some point, and release that statement or something like it.

Many films would be shunned if people were "straight" about what they put where, so the business we all love, requires this charade. As we get off on being insiders, long may that continue!
