Hmm. Mickey Rourke?
The Missus, Micky Rourke is the first person who popped in my head, too.
I was thinking Jack Nicholson, but yeah, Mickey Rourke.
That's exactly who I was thinking of too.
Sounds like Al Pacino to me
Jack Nicholson
"One of the few actors to be nominated for the best and worst in his profession."
This fits Rourke - nominated for an Oscar for The Wrestler, nominated for a Razzie for both Desperate Hours and Wild Orchid.
costner got an oscar and a razzie too.
Edward Norton
Mickey Rourke. A-list actress at the time who needed mental help Kim bassinger.
Wow, hardly a BI at all. I have been calling BS on these recent A-list BI's but this one sounds legit. Mentally destroyed actress: Carre Otis.
Rourke never liked KIm Basinger even during the promotion of their movie and Basinger always trashed on Rourke
Gotta be Mickey Rourke, especially with all the abuse his body has taken, fits perfectly.
Sorry, SECOND mentally destroyed actress would be Otis.
and Carre Otis yet said she had heroin trouble before her love story with Rourke and he saved her life several times and after their break-up,she became a famous big size model
I think Mickey Rourke is a great guess. References to the "abuse done to his body" fit nicel with his boxing "career" and oodles of plastic surgery.
Carre Otis for the gorgeous actress - apparently Mickey Rourke wouldn't let her model or work. She ended up a drug addict, too.
Seems like a perfect fit.
Did Mickey and Kim hook up in real life though?
Mickey Rourke for sure. That dude has always had a serious screw loose.
I remember reading an interview with Carre Otis while she was still with him. She said she needed to remove polish from her toenails because she was "getting bitched at at home. My boyfriend hates red."
Honestly, now. Why didn't you just call him Rickey Mourke?
Has anyone else been nominated for an Oscar and a Razzie besides Rourke and Costner?
Mickey Rourke popped into my mind too. He was so hot way, way, way back then. I thought he was excellent in "The Wrestler." It's a shame he still a c0ck to his core.
Mickey Rourke. I was a teen when I saw him in 9 1/2 weeks, he appeared like a sick f* to me, and it wasn't the film. I haven't watched anything with him since, never will. 10 men in the backyard in winter? Can that really happen? Poor girl if so.
My first thought was Alec Baldwin, but Rourke fits too.
What kind of men would have 'sex' with a women outside in the cold knowing that she does not want to?
Kim Basinger has dealt with mental issues since she was a child.. her illnesses had nothing to do with dating mickey (if they ever even dated)
I thought Sean Penn, but Mickey is the better fit.
I can see Carre Otis being th B- back in the day actress.. but if its Mickey, who would be the A list actress?
@ EmEyeKay
Nicolas Cage
Michael Caine
John Travolta
Al Pacino
Sean Penn
Tom Cruise
Michael Douglas
Jon Voight
Leonardo DiCaprio
Cuba Gooding Jr.
Whoever he is has 10 friends just as disturbing as him.
It's a Four for Friday
I thought Bruce Willis until the girlfriend part - he has a wife.
In the veeeeery early 80's I went to a Yankee game with a bunch of Pepsi-snorting cops who rented a "pied a terre" on the ground floor of wondrously sleazy hotel in the West Village. (Like nearly every building in the neighborhood (including my former home) it's now an NYU dormitory. Yes, no one loves NYU or anyone who goes there.) Along with the cops came Mickey Rourke because, well, he loved Pepsi, too -- and violence even more. How do I know that? Mickey went in a Red Sox uniform. Was he a devout fan? Oh, no. He wanted to pick fights... even with people who were ardently intent on denying he was their giddy provocateur.
Yup. It's Mickey Rourke.
I first thought it was Sean Penn, but Mickey fits better.
i'm just happy Michkey Rourke is just as ugly now on the outside as he is on the inside.
Penn was my first thought, but I guess Mickey fits too.
Carre Otis wrote a memoir " Beauty Disrupted: A Memoir" about her relationship with Rourke. This blind sounds like this must be about him and he is a douchebag.
If it's Mickey Rourke then he deserves his current face.
If the A-list actress is in fact Kim Basinger, then i think its interesting, that they are going to work together:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2147225/
Mickey Rourke
Sean Peen, oops, I mean, Sean Penn
Charlie Sheen
Nic Cage
are my guesses. They are all method actors, as well.
@CJ - thank you!
I'm thinking...
Totally on board with the Rourke guess.
I was thinking Nic Cage while I was reading it, but Rourke fits better - 180 in career, gf as opposed to wife.
Halle Berry
I was thinking Nick Nolte while reading it but I think alcohol is more his problem. Mickey sounds right. What a hurricane of destruction, that one.
Rourke treats women horribly and yet gets many women yet.
Mickey Rourke really is such an ass. During his "boxing" days he used to go to the clubs in Miami beach acting like a total tool. One time I saw him at a club and he had his followers/guards and he rode in with a tiny little bike and had a knit cap and they were holding court on one side of the room. He was doing douchy things like throwing napkins everywhere (or maybe it was money, I couldn't see that well) all over the place. Just making a spectacle of himself.
Kim has given interviews about how he mentally fucked with her while filming 9 1/2 weaks. Gluten for punishment to work with him again. Seeing that she also picked Alec she must like men with severe anger issues
Mickey Rourke is the one who had the comeback. Def sounds like him.
When is someone in Hollywood going to talk/write about the mysogyny and pedophilia problem it has?
If it's Mickey, who is the A-list actress? Otis is not even close. Wouldn't even call her B- or D, she's more like "I'm-sorry,-WHO-are-you-List" And it's definitely not Bassinger.
@Little Miss SAM - Travolta had a comeback, too (not that I believe it's him).
I don't know that I'd classify him as having A+ name recognition, but how about William Hurt? He's a Julliard trained actor, and Marlee Matlin has claimed that their relationship was consumed by drugs and violence.
I think everyone's leaving out Sylvester Stallone. Brigitte Nielsen was all messed up on drugs after their relationship. She has famously mocked his inadequacies in the sack. The gorgeous D lister he ruined could be Angie Everhart. Stallone has been nominated for Oscars and Razzies. Has a recent more humble comeback. Is a tough guy who ruined his body. He definitely has A+ name recognition.
Maybe Himmmm will let us know.
Maybe I'm looking at this wrong but is the 'Drop Dead Gorgeous' reference a hint towards fB- no D list actress. It makes me think of either Kirsten Dunst or Denise Richards... neither of which have been linked to Mickey Rourke to the best of my knowledge. Basically I don't think its him
So, whoever it is it's this abusive rapist guy and his ten rapist friends. These blinds are pretty soul destroying.
Nic Cage or Charlie Sheen are my guesses. I have a hard time thinking of Mickey Rourke as A-List.
MommaBear, I thought of him too. ???
@Louise. I'm with you. Some of these are so horrible it's difficult to believe they could be true
Having said that, I'm on board with Mickey Rourke. He was quite the sensation back in the day, so I would say A-list.
@Louise. I'm with you. Some of these are so horrible it's difficult to believe they could be true
Having said that, I'm on board with Mickey Rourke. He was quite the sensation back in the day, so I would say A-list.
Mia, Rourke was definitely A list back in the day, before he had his accident and had all the plastic surgery, not to mention the boxing.
As I was reading the blind, I was thinking Nic Cage but Rourke is a much better guess.
Stallone doesn't fit because he is married. I also think this is Rourke.
Something a little different: John Malkovich. A+ name recognition - even a movie named after him. Method all the way (but so is Rourke.) Did a real number on Michelle Pfeiffer when they were together...I believe on Glen Headley as well. But his career has always been at least B list steady. And though he is odd, have never heard much about his temper.
No one else came to mind other than Sean Penn. Robin is beautiful.
Charlie Sheen as the a-hole
Kelly Preston as the A list actress who he messed with & needed mental help
Denise Richards as the B-, now D. Is the "drop dead gorgeous" a hint?
I swear, the more I read--it's just...*shakes head* I wouldn't touch Hollywood with a 20-ft pole (never mind the 10-ft. one). I've always dearly loved movies, but it's impossible to avoid a real perspective change in the way you look at this stuff. Everyone knows there are bad people out there, but there's a difference between the abstract concept and considering people actually involved. So regardless of all the usual hubbub over truth, impersonation, faking and subterfuge, I just want to say that I truly hope in my heart those women, and any others out there in that situation, are able to get help and someone can convince them of their worth and value. Thank God I never ended up in situations that bad, but I know how much of my worth and self I gave away to undeserving wankers because I thought I wasn't worth much. No one should have to live in a state of mind where they'll give anything and everything of themselves away just to have or keep someone because they think that's all they can have, or are scared to lose someone even though that person treats them like shit. Forget money--the true wealth in life is a solid understanding & belief in your own worth, and supportive, loving people in your life who can look out for you and remind you of how wonderful you are. I wish everyone could be blessed like that :(
(Sorry...didn't mean for this to turn into a rant! I'll get off my soapbox now.)
I was gonna guess Colin Farrell, but Mickey works much better.
Am I the only one who thought "Wesley Snipes"? I remember hearing that he beat Halle Berry so hard she still can't hear out of one ear. I don't know if any of the rest of it fit, though, and I guess he wouldn't qualify as "A List".
My first thought was Mickey Rourke but his comeback as put him a list again. Sheen has the a list name B List status and the crazy stuff he did recently lines up with this story.
My first guess was Mel Gibson. ...maybe?
I believe it was David Justice (the baseball player) who supposedly beat Halle Berry such that it gave her ear problems-- not Wesley Snipes?
Agreed with previous posters that Kim Basinger's mental problems have been with her all her life and were not caused by anything other that growing up in her household (she went to my high school years before me, her mom was known around Athens as being totally batsh*t) but clearly are reflected in her choices wrt men. I didn't realize she ever dated Rourke though.
I think Rourke makes sense and immediately came to mind, but I can't figure who the A lister he messed up is. Charlie Sheen/Kelly Preston/Denise Richards does make sense. He hits the name recognition thing way more than Mickey.
Either way whoever it is I hope karma is headed for you.
Please let this not be Al with Beverly D'Angelo in the role of abused naked backyard sex lady "B back in the day now a D."
Not that I'd be surprised or anything. Damn.
100% Mickey Rourke. Ugh, he is disgusting.
Don't lie, you know you were all thinking Billy Crystal...
Seriously though, I was kinda getting "older star" vibe off this. I agree Mickey sounds good for it, but so does Sean Penn or Westley Snipes
I don't think it's Sheen because of the line "they loved the tough guy". Sheen has been violent with women, but not with his fists, but with weapons. I don't think anyone thinks of Charlie Sheen as a "tough guy". Asshole, whore-monger, all around degenerate, yes. Tough, no.
Unless I'm misreading this, I'm getting a really strong Alec Baldwin vibe off this one.
Malkovich is a little creepy and definitely odd in many ways but most definitely not violent. I know that for a fact.
Val kilmer?
was close to A list
douchey
drugs/alcohol++
seems like a massive ego
don't know about any of his past chicks tho...
Val Kilmer?
Darryl Hannah for the A lister?
I wont venture a guess for the B-, too gruesome.
Haha! Great minds...
I didnt see your post till after mine was published. Apparently he dated a number of actresses in the 80s
Mickey Rourke is an infamous Actors' Studio grad. I've always had a soft spot for him - aaaaand now I'm done. Fantastic actor, so beautiful back in the day, tragically flawed. Sigh. Can barely get it up - steroids. I wish this weren't true but it's SO obvious.
What about James Woods and Sean Young?
Val Kilmer dated Cher, a definite a lister. But as far as I know he hasn't been nominated for an Oscar or razzie
What Wenx said... absolutely. Thank you Wenx for saying everything I have been feeling. Reading all of this shit makes me realize just how good my life really is.
Chris Klein. A list at the time girlfriend--Katie Holmes.
LOL @ Rickey Mourke
Wenx, very little of this is true. Not to say Hollywood doesn't have it's ugliness, but think about the particulars here a moment.
What man is going to find 10 friends to essentially rape his girlfriend outside, one after another? Does that really make sense to you?
Enty used to exaggerate or invent BIs before (Shimmy anyone?) It seemed harmless or stupid before.
Now these blinds are malicious and meant to drive traffic. You are being played for your outrage. Don't buy into it.
How about Charlie Sheen? The "drop dead gorgeous" (title of the film) being his former wife, Denise Richards? Love that movie.
Didn't read through and now see it was already guessed. Still, sounds right.
plot, I have to agree, that's when the this blind item went south for me, the part about the star calling 10 friends to come rape his girlfriend while she's locked outside of his house, and in the winter, too. Bullshit.
The part with the ten friends having sex with the girlfriend really bothers me. What type of men would do that and how did it not come out before?
RANT!!??? Honey, please open a church. Rock on Wenx!
I think it's possible. I remember Jack Nicholson saying that the amount of people an actor meets in a year, is more than the average person meets in a lifetime. People attract people that are like them. I can easily picture Mickey Rourke buddying up with people that are assholes like him, and more than happy to rape a girl.
Plus Enty fudges details. This could be the detail. As for the A list actress who he messed with mentally. Maybe it wasn't for years, but in fact for a few months, to veer us off track. So maybe the A list actress is Kim Basinger? And Carre Otis for the other one? Even tho I can't picture her being B- back in the day, maybe that's another detail Enty is fudging. I don't know, but I'm open to other suggestions.
Halle's problems with the abuser and losing some hearing in her ear pre dates her marriages. David Justice didn't do it because it had already been done.
i read it was wesley snipes she implied caused her hearing damage
@Plot: I agree in that it does sound far-fetched that someone would have 10 friends to do that. But to play devil's advocate, classifying it as rape might not *legally* be so black & white. (I'm definitely not trying to excuse their behavior in any way by saying this, by the way. Anyone willingly doing something to another that they know the other doesn't want to do is an ass, regardless.). But according to the story, the woman had to have sex with those guys to "get back in the house", so technically she would have had a choice. If you're a strong enough person emotionally/mentally/spiritually, you'll come to a point in a relationship where you'll say f--k you to your partner and walk away for your own good. However, someone who isn't strong, wants what their partner can give them (fame, $,security, the illusion of love) & is willing to put up with poor treatment, or whose self-esteem is so low that they think this is the best they can do, etc...those people will make the choice to stay in the relationship & accept what's doled out to them.
Ultimately, it doesn't matter to me whether the blind is true b/c women out there everywhere allow themselves to be (at the least) treated badly by a man, and (at worst) abused sexually, physically &/or emotionally. I know because I've been one of those women. I thank God every day that I never got abused, but I let myself be lied to, cheated on, and made miserable to the point of considering suicide because I wasn't strong enough to leave. (He finally left me...to go off with the woman he cheated on me with. One of his reasons for cheating? Because she was skinnier than me.) So when I read it, the empath in me felt horribly for women in this kind of situation (& if the story is true, absolutely this woman.) Nowadays I value the strength I've developed over the years; and if I was in a relationship where my partner locked me out & said "Sleep with my friends or stay out," I'd probably kick myself for poor judgement in picking him to date, but I'd hold my head up & walk right down that driveway -- buck naked if I had to -- and start looking for something to cover up with before I go look for the fastest way to either a phone or the police station. I wish we didn't live in a world wher this happened; but unless we learn to stand up for ourselves, it can happen to any of us (from Hollywood to Henrico). I guess ultimately *that's* what I was going for, not blind belief (if you pardon the pun) :)
Mickey Rourke used to/still hang out with the Hell's Angels so he could have easily called up 10 friends to have sex with his wife/girlfriend outside. I personally know some of the HA and they are some bad ass people. Rourke was also brought up on charges of battery for beating Otis.
I was all on the Mickey Rourke bandwagon until I ran across an older post about Al Pacino. Academy Award winner who just won a Razzie.
smooches, Believe it or not, the Hell's Angels actually have a code. It may be a misogynistic code but they only practice it among insiders, not outsiders. I very much doubt Rourke ever flew colors.
I've been to a couple biker events (for a story.) My escort made it clear to everyone that I was an outsider and unavailable, unless I as a woman chose otherwise.
Seeing a naked woman locked out of a house doesn't immediately turn a biker into a rapist. Frankly, it might appeal more to their chivalrous side if it looked like she was desperate. Yes, bikers will use rape as vengeance or "fun" but not against an outsider.
wenx, let me tell you something that might relieve you and make you see the bullshit to Enty's latest BIs. As far as The Hunger Games go, Stanley Tucci was never on set in North Carolina very long. It was really only a few days in total. Woody Harrelson and Wes Bentley filmed all their scenes a hundred miles away from the kids...except for their scenes with Jennifer and Josh in the Capital (in Charlotte and Concord - way out of the mountains.)
Tell me how all this sexing and drugging happened under those perimeters. The movie was also shot very quickly with no central location. They were all over Pisgah National forest sleeping in trailers all over the place.
So do you get it now? Enty doesn't have inside sources. He reads IMDB. He recycles old BIs with *NEW* *IMPROVED* information. He tarts up old gossip to make it look fresh.
Don't fall for it.
Oh! And, according to IMDb, Pacino was the only actor to be in both the #1 best and worst movies (Godfather and Gigli).
Backtracking here and going back on the Mickey Rourke bandwagon. Rourke was also nominated for both Oscar and Razzie--and there is no doubt that Pacino is and was A list, not "just about A list."
I don't even have to read the comments. It's Mickey Rourke and the B- to D Lister is Carie Otis. Don't know who the A List actress he dated, was - I don't think he dated Basinger, but maybe they had a fling while filming? I'm glad I've never paid a dime to see one of his movies.
Hope to dog it's not Pacino...
Rourke was my first guess, but he really doesn't have A+ name recognition. I'm pitching my vote in with the people who suggested Stallone, for that reason alone.
Oh you who are SO quick to cast the first STONE.....
It is not Mr. Rourke.
And for those Hells Angels Rumors- Why would people already on the FBI watch list chance a rape or assault charge and many, many years in prison- Beside- Mr. Rourke- Broke off all contact with the Angels after being caught in the middle of a nasty Narcotics across state line issue in 1993.
For the record.
The person WAS named.
Just Not Mr. Rourke,
That answer is just All Wet.....
Gah! I am soo late to the party on this one (gettin' all caught up on my CDAN dish) and totally figured this one out! It's Sly Stallone! Oscar nominated in 1977 for Rocky and Razzie nominated in 2002 for Driven. Messed up girlfriend = Brigette Nielsen. Made a "comeback" recently with The Expendables. Now, if only someone will see this post and agree! :)
