Blind Item #7

This B list celebrity is now a former reality star again. She also couldn't stop cheating on her partner so the two split and also divided the kids. I really don't understand this new celebrity trend of dividing the kids.

Cheers, @VIP. Haven't heard of him across the pond, had to Google.

As for you, Enty, I don't think two instances constitutes a trend. Put those ponies back in the corral...

Aww man. I hope not Jillian. They've been together a good while and seemed happy.

I understand the trend of dividing the kids Enty--
These muthas don't give a damn about their kids and had them only for publicity. When the marriage turns sour and ends, the kids become just more pieces of chattel.

Although divorce was not common when I was a child, it still existed. And it wasn't uncommon in the divorced families I knew of for the man to take the boys and the woman to get the girls. Happened in my ex's family, although he eventually ended up back with his mother.

I have no freakin idea.

Why divide the family. Traumatic enough with a break up much less losing your sibling.

Lol liddy. But really, that's just her BL persona and editing. That's why she left this year because the show wouldn't show any of her bonding with contestants and her being kind. She didn't want her kids seeing that.

Renoblondee said...

And also I call shenanigans if Enty means her. Splitting up her kids is not something she'd do . I'm sure of it

Jillian is an excellent guess

Although she seems like a really hands on and active mom

Jillian--she quit the show once before and came back. I guess she has left again. Too many reality shows to keep up with all the crap that goes on behind the scenes.

Excuse my naivety, but how is it legal to split up siblings?

Bee Haven said...

Jonathan: that's very King Solomon of you. Perhaps they need to bring back some old testament judgement into the family law court

Bee Haven said...

Yoj: over here (I'm a registered Family Dispute Resolution practioner - no linger work in the Family law court system), we have a child focussed model. It's uncommon if the children (due to age, I.D ) do not give consent, or one of the parties is abusive/negligent. Even in the foster care system, they try to place siblings together.

Lol @ untidy! My husband runs from the room every time one of her commercials comes on. She scares the shit outta my big, tough Marine.

I don't have any issues with someone's sexual orientation and maybe I'm wrong but it seems like these splitting the kids up instances involve same sex couples, Am I wrong? I wonder if it has something to do with how couple gets the kids as it is not the case that the husband impregnates the wife with these couples. I know heterosexual couple also get children other than husband sperm, wife egg but seems like the ones we have had lately all involve same sex couples. Am I wrong? Probably a lot of factors at work and probably not very politically correct to look into it but I wonder if there is something to it. That is not to imply that gay parents are more messed up than straight ones or vice versa but these high profile splitting up the kids situations seem to involve same sex couples.

Not Jillian- The split rumors have been going on around them for a long time, but I listen to her podcast and it sounds like they are just fine.

@Bee Haven
What a noble profession you have, Bee. Solving disputes through dialogue and compromise - like an adult. I admire you for being willing to get your hands dirty, so to speak, rather than practicing avoidance like the rest of us. Have you ever found it difficult not to take your work home with you? I mean, do you absorb their stress?

Yoj, I'm pretty sure there are other social workers on here, which is awesome, as we rock! (J/K).
I've been fortunate enough to work in so many different organisations and with so many varied client groups. Currently work as part of an allied health team with OT"s, nurses, physios etc. I enjoyed the mediation. Like most jobs in SW it's possible to have professional/personal boundaries firmly in place. However it is often difficult not to ruminate at times. Funnily enough, it's never been the clients which have caused stress, but the system.

@Bee Haven
I misread and thought you'd written 'I enjoyed the medication' and I thought, well, that would certainly help with any stress! Yes, I can see why it would be hard to leave the work at the door. You're dealing with real lives and real problems, things that matter.
Social Workers DO rock and I'm not kidding!

I wasn't going to add this, as I didn't want to make this about me, but I have personally benefited from the support of a Social Worker and an Occupational Therapist, in addition to medical professionals. So, in addition to respect and admiration, I also feel gratitude for people like you.
