At The Roxy last night was the annual Gimme Shelter charity event. Lots of performances, but topping the bill in my mind were Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs. If you have never heard a Matthew Sweet song, you haven't lived. Somewhere in the blog is a little mention of Susanna and some of our history.
I didn't think Jada Pinkett Smith could look more like a man than she did before. I was wrong.
Speaking of men. See. You all thought I was going to say something derogatory about Oprah. Nope. Denzel Washington just doesn't seem to age. He makes worse movies as he ages, but he still looks the same as he did 20 years ago.
Amy Winehouse should go live with her father. The only time she ever appears normal are the times she is with him or on her way to visit him. Maybe she should realize that and go live with him.

Do you remember the scene in Coming To America when the family visits with geri-curl and leaves the stains on the back of the couch? I imagine that is what it feels like when JR Rotem touches you. It's amazing who Lindsay Lohan will let touch her.

Lindsey Lohan and JR Rotem always look filthy and greasy in every photo. You think with their millions, they could actually bathe.
Jessica Alba as a mother? Not likely. It's been well documented that it's always about her and no one else in her own private Alba land. I do agree that her motherhood skills will rival Britney's in true awfulness.

I don't think that's Rumer Willis...I think it's Scout...not sure though. Rumer's hair is mighty short right now, though thats an easy fix.

Nice to see I have plenty of company in being a Matthew Sweet fan; love his music. Yes, he was always a bit on the soft and chubby side, but boy has he blown up! Susannah Hoffs does look great; good for her.

Looooove Sid and Susie - Mathew Sweet and Sue Hoffs album together (under the covers). It's a covers album of songs by Neil Young, beatles, Bee Gees, Mammas and Papas et al.
Not buying that Susanna is the subject of that blind - she is a doting mother and The Bangles have been anti-drugs since back in the 80's. Interested to know what ENT is referring to though - I think she's amazing and I don't want to hear otherwise!
PS: Not happy about Alba and not happy that French and Saunders are posing so happily with a bigot.
The Sue hoffs reference: ...AP just totally ignored me. Pretended she didn't even know me. She gave me her cell phone to take the pic and as my boss leaned in she gave me the greatest wink since Susanna Hoffs told me she wasn't busy one night, at least not yet. ( Another time. Another story.)
