Why Do You Need Two Star Magazines?
Bai Ling was arrested for shoplifting yesterday afternoon at a gift shop in LAX. Presumably she was doing a little shopping before her flight and realized that being the famous nip slip star she is probably decided that she didn't have to pay for anything. In reality I think our Ms. Ling is a bit of a risk taker and enjoys the thrill of shoplifting. Of course I am not sure, but I would suspect that this is not the first time Bai has shoplifted.
Look at what she was accused of taking when she was nabbed by a store employee who then later did a thorough strip search. 2 Star Magazines and 2 packs of AAA batteries. My guess is that she just did it to see if she could get away with it. I don't know why she would need two Star Magazines. I mean it is a fine magazine and no doubt they will gladly pay for her defense as this is some great advertising for them. "Bai Ling loves our magazine so much she went to jail for it. Now we are going to get her out."
Two of them seems like overkill unless she is in them and enjoys staring at herself for hours on a plane. I think she was just killing time before a flight and decided to have a little fun. She was caught as I said by the store employee who then held her until the police arrived. Because it was a misdemeanor, no mug shot for Bai, but she is due in court on March 5th.
During the 2 hour process at the police station, Bai was crying. Somehow though I don't think this is going to affect her career or that people will really notice.

I think she did it to get attention too. What a lame thing to do get arrested! They don't let Brit get away with it so why would a two bit actress who almost ruined LOST last season get a free pass?
Career? She probably cried because they DIDN'T take her mug shot.

I have no clue why she is even called a celebrity, I have never seen any of her work.
But I must say she has to have a good hustle cus I see her everywhere, at all the industry parties both black and white, wearing some weird outfits. How can she afford to be out everynight when she hardly works?!?
Methinks she must do some "escorting" or has a rich sugar daddy who affords her these luxuries.
Oh give me a break gammagirl..."Almost ruined Lost last season"? What, because she appeared in ONE episode in flashbacks? And that ruined almost the entire season? *rolls eyes* There are characters worse than Bai's, whom we had to deal with a lot longer than her.
That being said, Britney HAS gotten away with blatent shoplifting before, as has Amy Wino. She probably thought she could get away with it too, some kind of ego boost.

Even before I got to the comments, I was thinking: Bai Ling was actually really good in Red Corner. It's a shame she got seduced by fame.
She was funny in Entourage last year (and funny in a good way...). Mostly, though, she's just obnoxious...

OH YEAH. She was THE THING that ruined Lost. It wasn't the the fact that nothing ever really happens, even though you think something is going to happen. It wasn't their brilliant formula of three episodes and then a month long break before the next one. It wasn't the 4,815,162,342 loose ends and unresolved plots. It wasn't the comic book style writing or the fact that everyone talks in a stilted manner in order to keep the pacing nice and slow or how everyone stares off into the distance for 8.2 seconds before responding to a question... IT WAS BAI LING APPEARING ON THE SHOW FOR A FEW MINUTES AS TATTOO ARTIST.
*collapses on floor after tirade*
But, seriously, shoplifting? How stupid...

Um yeah, or I wouldn't have posted that. Why? Because Bai Ling represents one of the crutches the writers used to make up for the fact that they had no plan during the first half of the third season. Hence, her character almost ruined LOST last season. L
AS for the style of the show, millions of people are down with it. just because you aren't doesn't mean it's a bad show.

Is the title a riddle? Answer: Because it takes two "Star" magazines to equal one magazine! (the batteries, I have no idea).
