This Is Even Worse Than Dating
I don't have anything against Jessica Simpson. As I have said previously it is her sister that I find without many redeeming qualities. Lat last year the rumors were flying that Jessica Simpson was dating Billy Corgan. That was strange, but not awful. What is awful is that they might not be dating but rather making songs together. Really? Is it going to be like 1979 meets Sweetest Sin? Is she going on tour with Billy? Is this going to turn into some kind of really bad version of Sonny & Cher? Will anyone ever take Billy seriously again?

You never know--they just might end up being good for each other. She'll learn a lot from him (I don't think she's innately stupid so much as uneducated), and perhaps he'll stop being such a assmonkey?...OK, maybe that last one is too much to hope for, but while I'm not too keen on Billy, Jessica seems like a basically good person, and I'd kind of like to see her genuinely happy & doing well, esp. if she can bypass Papa Joe to do it.

Poor Jessica is slightly retarded and harmless for the most part. She isn't stupid, nor is she uneducated.
My mother had to quit school in 4th grade to help support her family, but she has gone toe to toe quite eloquently with the most brilliant attornies and won her cases. She is without a formal education, but a force to reckoned with.
I hope Jessica finds a little bit of peace and happiness in her next project. Her sister is a disaster, not retarded, and harmful to herself and others. I am not wishing the same for her. I don't waste my wishes.

No, Billy will never be taken seriously again. Jessica wrecks havoc wherever she goes; I hate to see her make a laughingstock out of someone as talented as Billy is.

I've never been able to hate on Jess. Sure, she's not the brightest crayon in the box, but she seems super sweet and seems to have good intentions. Can't help but root for her to finally find her niche (and her independence). Not big on her type of music, but maybe she and Billy C would end up doing something that would surprise everyone in a good way?!?!?!?!

As for Jess, insipid as she is most times...I do wish her happiness. So far there have been no vacation shots, People magazine covers or her sporting a Billy T at any of his concerts. This one - just might work. *Fingers crossed*

Califblondy - My Aladdin DVD has a video of her and Nick singing "A Whole New World." It's actually kinda sweet to look at how they were then. A deep dark part of me still has hopes for a reunion someday between those two crazy kids.

He's been producing for awhile now. He produced some Courtney Love songs (though I dont know if they ever came out).
As for producing Jessica, maybe he can teach her about music and really tap into something previously untapped before. This seems like something she is doing on her own and not at the prodding of her dad so good luck to her. I love Smashing Pumpkins. Come back
I don't get it. I thought she was sticking to country? First she made a big fuss about pop, then country, now this? I don't care if you are musically inquisitive and all and I like artists who reinvent themselves but you need to master the art first before you move on and then don't make a big stink about how you've "finally found a home" in country music only to make one album and call it a day. I love Jess and I may be jumping the gun here, but I had to listen to her go on and on about country in every single interview she gave while she promoted her last album so if she suddenly goes all Billy Corgan, it'll be hard to take her seriously.

jessica simpson cannot sing. i listened to her once and thought 'is this a joke?' seriously, i couldn't believe that's what passes for talent. she's HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!
I like Jessica. I think she is a decent singer. I think she has made some dumb mistakes but she is harmless.
I'll refrain from saying what i thought of Smashing Pumpkins live a few years ago.
MCH - please do. I'm in denial that they are anything but perfect from my 16 year old existence....which was a loooooong time ago.
I was a fan when they first came out. Didn't really follow them much after high school. They came here for a concert and my husband and i went with friends and we were just very unimpressed. I did have a few friends that went to their concert every night they were here so....taste is subjective. :)
