Skating With The Stars - Again?
I am too lazy to look up the last name of the show that Fox had that featured stars skating in a Dancing With The Stars type thing, but on ice. That show did not do very well because skating is a much more difficult skill to master so everyone except the professionals looked awful. The only thing I remember from that show is that one of the pairs got married and had some kids. That is the only thing I remember. The cast is a much lesser group of people that you would find on Dancing With The Stars. It is like this is the B squad that could not quite make the first rung so had to settle for making themselves look bad to get some national television exposure.
The one thing I am looking forward to is having Sean Young on the show. I don't think she will do great, but having her in the spotlight should provide some great gossip and some great quotes. She will not be able to stay normal or be quiet for the entire run of the show.
The other contestants are Rebecca Budig, Bethenny Frankel, Jonny Moseley, Vince Neil, and Brandon Mychael Smith.

skating... as in ice-skating? That seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
Brandon Mychael Smith is on Sonny with a Chance with Demi Lovato-so that should be somewhat interesting. Plus, he is a pretty funny guy who has a great personality and can sing and dance. I think he'll be really good. TEAM BRANDON!!

Jonny Moseley was asked to be on DWTS for the first season and turned it down, obviously not realizing what a huge ratings success it was going to be. So this is his chance to get back into the limelight.
Skating with the Stars was in 2006, I think. Kristy Swanson and Lloyd Eisler were partnered and ended up together. Yes, I'll watch again because I never completed the 12 step program to overcome my desire to watch so-called celebs dance or skate.

I was home sick yesterday afternoon and saw Sean Young on a soap opera! (didn't watch long enough to catch which one) I didn't know she had moved to television.
No interest in this show personally, but then again I also don't care to see so-called stars hoofing it around with professional dancers, either. Especially when I have Enty to break it down for me the day after ;)
I hate to admit it, but I watched the other skating thing. I remember Bruce Jenner and Jillian Barbieri. This new line-up is interesting.
I'm still pissed that my man Rick Fox got booted from DWTS last night.
Bethenney Fucking Frankel - she is such an awful, nasty, fake (still exploiting her 'raised by wolves' bullshit when everything indicates that she's lied about a ton of shit) bitch. I HATE that she is famous and increasing her fame in any way. I hope she, then Vince Neil, leave first. Terrible people.

Sean Young has a role now on the Young and the Restless. I think she cleaned up her act and quit the booze. She is actually really good in the role.
God I remember how hot Vince Neil was in the 80's what a bloated mess he is now.

I think Brandon Mychal Smith has a lot going for him as well. Interesting he's on there - I could definitely see kids (including my own) asking their parents to change the channel so they can see Nico/Stubby, garnering more viewers.
Rebecca Budig is "The Real" Greenlee Smythe on All My Children. Been on and off that show for a number of years now. She's also the ex-wife of "Bob the Bachelor" Guinney. have zero idea who Brandon Mychael Smith is.
Doesn't Vince Neil have enough money from Motley Crue that he doesn't have to resort to this? Maybe keeping busy helps his attempts at sobriety, I suppose.
@mikey~Lloyd left his wife and kids for Kristy. Once when Kristy and Lloyd came to pick up his kids,Kristy and the wife got physical and the cops had to be called. Who said figure skating wasn't a dangerous sport?
Does anyone know the status of Vince Neil's DUI case?
Doesn't Vince have the tattoo parlor next to the Imperial Palace in Vegas? Surely that brings in the big bucks.
@skeeball - always drama on the ice! Maybe they'll be more this year. Did you watch the skating show Hasselbeck hosted? The one where they had odd skating couples paired up.

I don't remember this show ever being on. I'd definitely watch if not for seeing all the falling. I've never ice skated a day in my life, b/c I'm a clutz and it looks hard. I can barely roller skate. Hey that's an idea....bring back this show but do it on roller skates!

@Mikey I vaguely remember it. I really didn't recognize alot of the skaters on it. I am from the Dorothy Hamill skating era. My sis just went to the Dorothy Hamill skating camp this summer on Nantucket loved it.
I used to be a fan of Bethenny back when she made the occasional funny quip on RHONY. But her fame whore stripes are really coming out now. I am so sick of her showing up for every magazine cover and ribbon cutting and pimping out her husband and kid.
@skeeball - I had the Hamill haircut! I've followed ice skating faily regularly through the years. There are a couple of years that I didn't like anyone and didn't follow.

i don't even watch tv, but i will tune in to see sean young in action. that woman is hilarious. remember when she told julian schnabel to get on with it during his acceptance speech? HAHAHAHA. still laughing about that one.
Why couldn't Skating with the Stars be more a Roller Derby type show. I'd sure as hell watch that and I HATE reality shows.

I'd say it's going to be pretty damn entertaining. I don't see most of them as people who can take criticism well! Sean Young has serious dance background so I'm guessing she may do pretty well but Vince Neil? Ice, meet Vince.
