I am sooo ashamed of Enty! Everyone in Hwood (and NYC, NOLA, London, Paris, Athens, Rome, Baghdad, and effing Kabul!) knows that Jolie is NOT hooked on heroin. Nor even Methadone!
In fact...it is FENTANYL. You know, about 20 times MORE POTENT than heroin! Those little pain patches pack a punch. And since it comes from 5 different docs? She thinks it is legit! VERY nasty stuff (I took it for my spine tumors for 2 years! NOT a party drug! But you lose a ton of weight! lol). But hey? It's her life - not mine.
As for Melissa Gilbert dating again? It's not like marriage ever stopped her. Ask Rob Lowe, again, and again.
Wow. I would never have been able to have identified Melissa Gilbert. Her face must be back on the prairie. Wonder how long Angelina will be able to keep it up with the drugs before she overdoses? She's been extremely functional for a long time, but the human body can only take so much. Just ask Michael Jackson.

As long as Kate Hudson had a single glass of wine, and didn't throw it back all in one shot, there is no harm in her drinking while pregnant.
A single glass of wine with dinner is not going to harm the baby.

Yep drinking after the first trimester while pregnant is totally fine. OBGYNs say to drink in moderation which means one glass a week or month or so, depends on the doc.
Most of my friends not in the US tell me is is not as taboo there as here. All I know is in the US, if you are obviously pregnant and drink a glass of wine people give you the stink eye while, I was with a friend in Paris while she was obviously pregnant and no one batted an eyelash at us ordering wine.
That Hanson ca-male-toe is gross (that's gonna leave a mark) but the red boy scout bandana tie is also all kinds of wrong. Isn't he about 26 with 7 kids or something? I don't think he is gay, just ticky tacky.
I doubt a glass of wine with dinner is going to harm Kate's baby. As long as she isn't chugging bottles of the stuff her baby will be fine.
Interesting tidbit about Jolie, but how could she get a drug like that? I broke a hip and my doctor only gave me the lowest dose of percocet you can get.

Most doctors have stated that the occasional glass of wine with a meal while in the last two trimesters is not harmful- I would question if she were drinking liquor, or getting drunk, or even drinking wine every night, but this isn't such a big deal.

I definitely concur--fentanyl is a helluva drug. I broke my back and then ruptured a disc seven months later, and I was in more pain than I had ever imagined possible. NOTHING would even touch the pain--even several narcotics--because it was nerve pain (as opposed to, say, muscle pain). I finally tried fentanyl as a last resort to avoid having surgery, and that shit KNOCKED ME OUT. I was awake, and I was functioning, but I was in such a fuzzy, dreamlike, wackadoo state that I couldn't even use it for the full week I was supposed to try it. There is NO WAY someone on that drug (regardless of how much tolerance they may have built up in their system) should be in charge of anything in their lives except maybe getting to the toilet in time. You just cannot take care of kids when you are that messed up.
On another note, one of the things I do to have fun on Facebook is to friend celebrities of various types. The ones who are real can be a lot of fun, and the ones who are fake are sometimes even more fun. ;) Anyway, I am a major Little House on the Prairie whore, and I have become "friends" with several of the former cast members (keeping up with the prairie gossip is a bitch, y'all!). The only one to turn me down flat is Half-Pint herself, Melissa Rivers...errr, I mean, Gilbert.

Well this is just an aside -- and I don't know if it has to do with the drugs or what -- but Ange finally has lost her mojo. I never thought it really would happen but there's just meh there now.

How do you function on that junk? Easy. Just repeat - left foot. Right foot. Left foot. Right foot. (Then sing Do-Wha-Diddy like Bill Murray in Stripes!lol).
Seriously, it is all about metabloism (forgive me as I'm without spellcheck or a medguide - but i recall it's about a good CYP240 enzyme and solid liver helps) plus your tolerance. Since a patch avoids first-pass metabolism via the liver? It absorbs into the fat or muscle in the arm or chest or back; then crosses the blood-brain barrier and hits your CNS directly. Exactly like an IV or IM shot.
It says on the box: NOT for opioid naive patients! Meaning you must be on a high-level opioid to start with. Like OxyContin, Morphine/Kadian, or Demerol. Usually only a pain mgmnt. doc or neurologist will Rx these. A single patch will last from 48 to 72 hrs, supplying a steady plasma level of meds. But Fent is so strong they only sell them in MICROgrams. As in 50mcg = HALF of ONE MILLIGRAM! I do know they sell them in lollipops too (for cancer vics with no body fat).
I actually coached a kids ballgame, extricated a man from a car crash (as a vol. FF), fixed a 4 course meal, and storyboarded an entire Audioslave music video - all in the same day while on a 100mcg patch once. Pretty routine.
Of course, I had a spine tumor, severe neuropathy, a C2 vertabrae bone spur, and a 2 RUPTURED disks at the time...with wicked tolerance. Oddly? I don't even drink alcohol or smoke weed! For someone like Ms. Jolie? I don't think her MRI or CAT/PET scans or tests show anything NEAR deserving the meds. I think it is more because she has shady docs who like the cash - and God knows WHAT ELSE she does to get them. Then again? It's harder to get a good waiter in L.A. than it is to get heroin or crack - so it's not like she really HAS to rely on the 5 quasi-legit docs! Trust me on that. (I think an old blind hinted at this too) Sadly, some of us who HAVE TO HAVE THIS CRAP for real legit pain truly HATE the junk. I take 4 Morphine XR daily to just walk, work, and function. I have been for years. I dream of the day without them because I despise being dependent on ANYTHING, even an asprin or stylist!! So it chaps my ass to see SOME PEOPLE (*cough*Angie*) using it to keep a buzz. Then again? If she sat through and watched The Tourist - she might be in real legit pain!!!

just to play devil's advocate for kate (and I'm no celebrity apologist), I'm pregnant and was out at a nice restaurant having a steak a couple of weeks ago. They had an NA red wine on the menu, and while it tasted sort of crappy, it was a nice guilt free way to have some wine with dinner. Maybe Kate did, too. Am I naive?

It is perfectly safe. You try feeling horrible and uncomfortable, and having complete strangers volunteer their criticism/advice on everything you do all the time. And then the one thing you want to chill you out (your bi-weekly glass of wine) you pour, and excitedly anticipate, and then the pregnancy police call foul.

Yeah, that was a bit of a personal issue for me when pregnant. HATED the pregnancy police.
My mother pretty much downed an entire bottle of cabernet while in labor with me (I was born at home, no painkillers) and I turned out OK.
I've never been pregnant, so I ain't gonna judge (and I think Kate Hudson is completely odious, believe me.
Unless you SMOKE while pregnant, because that's a vile habit even if you AREN'T sperminated. There is cause for the hairy eyeball in such situations.
