National Enquirer Blind Item
THIS respected TV personality and her producer/ filmmaker husband have both had same-sex affairs throughout their long marriage. She’s been hooking up with a famous female author, and he’s been linked to many openly gay Broadway actors and dancers. Who are they?

My thoughts exactly .. who knew??
Agreed!
Ditto
Do you think when they're in bed, she talks to her like she's delivering the news?
I think you got it but what a shocker!
Yep that was fast
He did direct The Birdcage.
Just to be different and I think it fits better than Diane Sawyer and Mike Nichols (who is primarily known for being a writer/director):
Mary Hart and Burt Sugarman, who is a film producer
I wonder who the female author is.
Patricia Cornwell for the female author?
Ha! It doesn't dim my love for them both.
Definitely Diane and Mike. Far more respected than Mary Hart, and would be able to get with famous authors as well.
If this is Sally Jesse Raphael and her husband, I'll faint.
totally off topic, but am I the only one (well my son's watching too) watching the Law of the Sea Treaty hearings on c-span right now??
Because my advice, if you can flick it on, do so now.
How about Jules Asner and Steve Soderbergh?
This is old news, DS and MM.
Not Patricia Cornwell for the author, she's in a committed relationship.
Every time I hear of DS I giggle and think of her drunk/stoned reporting after the inauguration.
@msgirl: Not if the author were someone like Kitty Kelley :-D
You know, if it works for them, and they are happy and careful, who cares? They seem to really love and enjoy each other, even if not physically.
I was always surprised that Mike Nichols was married to DS, because he seemed gay to me.
Mary Hart and Burt Sugerman
This one is transparent; the Sawyer/Nichols rumors have been around for decades. Sawyer reportedly did have a fling with Patricia Cornwell, but that ended a long time ago.
Color me shocked and that don't happen often.
I had no idea about them. Huh.
I always remember his joke from the 60s or early 70s about "the famous Southern author falsely rumored not to be a homosexual," which just made everyone laugh and laugh. He is funny.
Sawyer and Nichols would make sense and no harm. They seem to genuinely like each other in interviews so maybe it's just a good match otherwise.
I believe a man and a woman can love one another - even be "IN love" with one another, and yet have sexual needs or desires that they fulfill with a partner of the same sex. It's probably gone on for centuries. Consenting adults, right?
I sort of like hearing about different relationships like this between consenting adults. I guess what I like is the honesty. That's something a lot of marriages don't have.
Didn't/doesn't Oprah have a crush on her? I swear I thought I heard her say that once on one of here shows...
