Green Day Cancels Italy Shows - Billie Joe Armstrong Hospitalized
The two guys from Green Day who were not admitted to the hospital in Italy made a video apologizing to their fans in Bologna, Italy for not being able to play a show there Sunday night. Billie Joe Armstrong was hospitalized and his doctors advised him not to perform. So far there has been no word on what caused the frontman for the group to be hospitalized. It always sucks when a band you are anxious to see has to cancel. It does not happen that often so you are really not expecting it and there is a lot more that goes into it than just buying tickets and going. It was good for the band to make the video and hopefully Billie Joe will make a complete recovery.

NBCnews.com says Billie Joe's out of the hospital now, but IIRC the rest of the tour is off; some reference was made to it being "gastrointestinal". Whatever's wrong, I hope he's feeling better very quickly; I've heard he & his wife Adrienne are very nice people.

My first thought was food poisoning. I will never forget the horrific food poisoning me and my former roommate got in Italy from eating pizza with ham on it. Called my parents from Rome asking them to find a hospital who took my insurance because I thought I was going to die :)
The guy on the left looks like a living Muppet. The guy on the right looks like an old guy trying desperately to look like a young guy. The singer is annoying beyond words. These guys are millionaires and The Ramones never got the recognition they deserved? What a sad world...R.I.P Johnny. R.I.P. Dee Dee. R.I.P. Joey.
Bands cancelling is a great pet peeve. I go to the ACL Music Festival every year. Somebody I want to see badly is always cancelling. Twice the bands stopped performing permanently. The White Stripes were booked to play ACL a couple of weeks after Meg White had a nervous breakdown. Amy Winhouse cancelled to go to rehab she said yes, yes, yes. The Beastie Boys cancelled because of the cancer diagnosis. And finally Lily Allen cancelled one year. No idea why.
Oh and I love The Ramones and Green Day. Get well soon Billie Joe.

The guy on the right looks just like my neighbor and he is like 76 years old. Just put a bad blonde wig on him and...instant rock star.
