Christian Nassif Breaks Three Fingers - CPS Called

For the second time in as many months, Paul Nassif and Adrienne Maloof's son Christian has been injured and Child Protective Services called. In this incident, three of Christian's fingers were broken in what is described as mysterious circumstances, so the doctor in the emergency room called CPS. Adrienne allowed workers at the hospital to interview her son, but CPS is still going to investigate. I don't see Adrienne breaking three of her son's fingers although she did break Paul's balls for years.

You really should have all the info before you print something like this.

From TMZ last night:

...Sources say Paul told the social workers the injury occurred at a school carnival -- when Christian fell off of a funhouse step ... and hurt his hand. Paul told officials the nanny was watching the child at the time, while he was buying tickets.

As for Christian, we've learned the injuries weren't as serious as Adrienne first believed -- but he did suffer some bruising on his hand.

This is tough. I loved these two, and watching the show I can see that they really were on their last leg together. Those poor kids. On the bright side, Adrienne and Paul are both fascinating and emotionally available people, so the kids will be raised in a very human environment.

yes, cps will take the word of the adult over the child utill the child is either dead, found in cage, or there is physical evidence (film or dna). cps is a do nothing waste of money.

You're welcome Agent**It.

Accidents happen, but i think the biggest issue in scenario's like this is these two probably could spend more time with their children. Just because you CAN afford a nanny doesn't mean that they should be raising your children. I know it's been done for decades, but still doesn't make it right.

let's keep in mind not all the information is available when blog posts are written and Enty holds down a full time job so constant updates aren't always necessary, nor required, since this is a blog and not a news outlet.

Seriously. My 6 y/o was attacked by a 9 y/o relative who was staying with us. He set her bed on fire while she was sleeping in it. We went to the police to press charges, were told there was nothing they could do because it wasn't SERIOUS ENOUGH. Next thing I know, we're being investigated by CPS because I 'wasn't supervising them'. It happened at 5am!!! CPS even went to my parents house since they babysit and checked to make sure she wasn't being neglected while she was there. Like, they looked in the fridge and checked for hot water. And even when the 9 y/o admitted it, NOTHING happened to him and they only interviewed his parents one time. I am so bitter about the whole thing!

CPS is overburdened and underfunded.

I'm glad this kid is OK.

Accidents do happen, but I admit I have a knee-jerk judgment when I see a parent with an infant in a cast. It's terrible!

Why do they need a nanny at the school carnival? They can't handle taking their kids alone or what?

I do think this case was an accident. Kids, after all, do this stuff. Overall though I do think Adrienne is playing dirty with the whole custody thing. She wants what she wants at any cost. Casting suspicion on Paul gives her lots of power. Unless someone can conclusively prove she is lying, people will always wonder about Paul.

Jax, why are you trying to justify yourself? ;) (Apologies to the newbies who don't get the joke.)

they seem to be using the kids as the rope in their tug of war.

too bad--they seem like nice boys.

holy crap GemTwist! what is going on with that child!? thank god your child is allright.

@ Merlin - LOL!

Kids accidentally hurt themselves all the time. I hope Adrienne isn't trying to manipulate this situation. Her animosity towards Paul is palpable.

My kid slipped part way down the stairs when I was in the kitchen for two minutes and thought she was safely restricted, cut her head when she hit the finial and needed stitches.....the emergency room personnel interrogated us both, separately and together, trying to get my kid to say that I hit her or something. They annoyed my 3 year old so much that finally, she yelled at them, "I told you, I fell down!" But seriously, if my kid had been impressionable or easily manipulated, I could have had a problem. Emergency room personnel sometimes look for abuse when there isn't any.

The ER will do that with adults, too. I fell a few weeks ago and broke a bone, and added to their standard questions is "did someone do this to you? Do you feel safe in your home? Are you being abused?"
