Blind Item #2
This former B+ list actor who is also an Academy Award winner/nominee was working on developing something for television just so he could get some work. The show would have probably been picked up if our actor had been able to actually act. Too many drugs in his past and he now does everything like he is doing Shakespeare in the park or something. Maybe he should try reality television. Long way down the entertainment ladder from where he once was.

Nick Nolte
Sounds like Cage to me
Cuba Gooding JR just had his pilot dropped by Fox.
Damn you're good LSG, it amazes me how fast you guys get these things. Nolte is a fantastic guess. I second it.
And I think we have a winner folks.
Adrian Brody.
If it weren't for The Master, I would've been convinced this was Joachin Phoenix (LADDER 49, Oscar for Walk the Line and his weird antics with Casey Affleck's documentary).
I know Enty doesn't always drop wordplay clues, but the entertainment "ladder" does seem like different verbage for him. Jacob's Ladder actor? Someone else from Ladder 49?
Daaaammmnn whatever happened to him?
That is a pretty big fall. What was the pilot about @Dylan?
But Nolte is currently in Gangster Squad, and he has a handful of films in pre-production
Cuba! Good one, Dylan
My first thought was Adrian Brody (exhibit A, shaving commercials), but I love @Dylan's guess of Cuba.
Cuba is in Daily Mail today
(every answer of Blind Item is in Daily Mail)
What about Tim Robbins? He was in Jacob's Ladder so that would fit the ladder part. He is also an Academy Award winner. I don't know about B+ though. I thought he would be former A... who knows.
Just checked Cuba's imdb and he has about 6 things in pre/post/in production. Doing SHOCKINGLY well.
I think shakespear in the parks is a big clue...who are B+ actors that have done it?
Christian Slater?
Cuba stays busy but his work is pretty crappy and he took a long hard fall from his Jerry Maguire days. His character was a hit but I've never thought it was Oscar worthy.
maybe someone who's been a Shakespeare adaptation...?
a Keanu Reeves type...? (I don't think he's ever been nommed for Oscar)
New poster but just had to guess at this one: http://whatjamesfrancodidtoday.blogspot.com/2010/08/franco-in-park.html
Hope the link works.
Mickey Rourke
No way is it Tim Robbins. He'll always be A list name recognition, at minimum. Too high profile to ever fall below that! Even though he and Susan broke up, he's still too high on the list...
Was thinking Eric Roberts, but he is still a pretty decent actor, even when he is in some crap movie.
a very good find by Unknown
I'd rule out Slater, since he's never been an Oscar nominee. And Nolte, since he's sort of regarded as a solid actor with the right material whose drinking problems are well known.
I like the Adrian Brody guess.
Cuba Gooding. His show was almost picked up by a network but wasn't in the end.
How about Tom Sizemore?
I like mickey rourke pic
@Moonmaid
I saw Eric Roberts on TV recently, and he is gorgeous! His hair is completely gray, and he looks hotter than ever.
i like the Adrien Brody guess, with his 'castle' he built for his former wife. Don't know about him & drugs though.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers?: Tudors, drugs & HUGE fall from the success ladder. Also, "Resides in London and Los Angeles when not filming. Owns an apartment in Morocco and Dublin."
I'd say that's more a rennaissance man, than most actors.
Gary Busey?
Bingo! I came here to post this, they dropped his new show. Too bad, I always loved him.
lol American Dad just did an episode that mentioned cuba gooding's bad decisions
Nessa, I was gonna say the same thing. For those who didn't see it, Cuba Gooding had sold his Oscar on eBay to Roger (the alien on "American Dad.") but later was hired by Roger in a crazy plot.
Not Tim. He's really involved with his theatre company, The Actors' Gang. He's not doing much film or TV, but he's doing plenty of theatre.
