I'm not to keen on this new tradition of a mushy song at the end with the clearly departing cast members. It is a long standing tradition to just leave gracefully. But since Kristen Wiig had to have a send off by Mick Jagger now it's a thing.
That being said, I loved the Stefan and Seth bit and having all the characters from his 'clubs' show up to his wedding to Anderson. That was clever at least.
Farewell, Bill, Jason, Fred and Seth. You will be missed.
Stefoooooooooooon!
@timebob
Meyers will stay until December,.. And after last night's show I'm not convinced Jason Sudeiukis is leaving (No send-off sketch, no waving goodbye in the end)
As for this sketch, it was really emnotional and great. Such as Armidsen's Ian Rubbish & Bizarros farewell.
Nice job, SNL.
Fuck NBC. They don't let Canadian viewers watch ANY of their stuff online. Seems to me they could use a few more eyeballs, but whatever.
Idk where to put this but the answer to the MV is Jlo. Google Veronica Without Love
Pants!
Of course i'm assuming I was just going by who was in the band, Taran was too but I don't think he is going anywhere.
And the way the three were holding each other seemed like it was the end of the road for them. Only Bill announced his departure the rest we will know soon enough I guess. But Jason is poised for a real movie career and Fred seems to do well on the small screen. I hope Bill has a good career on the small/big screen he is so funny and a great character actor.
I just liked the tradition of no fan fare. But I guess everyone deserves a moment in the sunset.
SNL had to do something for Stefon. It was the best gag they had.
Notbritelite:
I thought it was Britney Spears with the singer being Myah Marie?
@lite that is a good comparison I will always say Jennifer Lopez On the Six album (that I love) sounds nothing like her later albums which all suck. P. Diddy dubbed in her vocals for sure. That is the only album he produced for her.
I thought Bill and Fred's goodbyes were so perfect. I will miss them both! Though I think Fred's talents are better served on Portlandia, Bill is one of the greatest sketch character performers the show has ever had.
Awwwww. I will miss them!
It's sad when great people leave SNL, I will miss all of them too.
wow epic
Loved it.
I love the farewells!
I would be disappointed if they did nothing at all. Such perfect ways for them to say goodbye.
Not to mention this would have been a pretty bland episode without them. Aside from his directorial efforts Ben Affleck does nothing for me.
Okay, loved it, blah, blah, blah, back to that in a moment but first things first -
Cee Kay - What the he11? Are you telling me that NBC has clips from SNL, a show that can use all of the word-of-mouth promo they can get, blocked to one of the two wealthiest nations in the Northern Hemisphere? That's some brilliant marketing. I hope you can at least pull it off of YouTube or something. Just for entertainment value. Don't buy anything they try to market cuz they're clearly asses.
Here here
Brit grew up singing on TV (Star Searxh & Disney). I'm a JLo = MV believer.
They also hunt for and take down clips on youtube. And their crappy website crashes flash on me half the time or the vids don't load. What they should do is make note of what youtube videos are popular and put them on their desert of a youtube channel as people obviously want to see those particular vids. Hell, they could slap an ad in front of it if they want a couple bucks! But no. So I can't watch the cowbell sketch unless I either search for it on their shit site, where it might not even be, or buy the dvd of that entire season. Douches.
/end rant. I've got lots of beefs with NBC. It's a good thing they didn't cancel Parks and Rec or I would watch nothing on that network.
Since there's talk of OT blinds here I'll drop a tiny gem. There was a blind, I can't recall when, of an additional cast member of Mad Men who is well endowed. It is the actor who plays Peter Campbell. If Enty reveals it as someone else, you can make the count 3 then.
