5 boxes of Girl Scout cookies down last night. 145 to go.

I heard a news items of a Girl Guide who set up shop outside a medical marijuana shop and she sold out in minutes.
Pics or its all just words. The 145 boxes just to be clear. Lol
Tell me about these cookies? They are a peculiarly US phenomenon. Little girls knocking on strangers doors selling biscuits would be frowned upon here I suspect.
Samoas.. chocolatey coconuty carmely goodness. You can get shivved in my house for taking the last one.
Canada has them too but haven't seen any for some time sadly...
I was in San Francisco this past weekend and there was a mom walking her daughters around Dolores Park and hitting up all the high people. Looked to me like they sold out.
Here's a handy dandy booth locator.
Also, can anyone is California confirm for me that they are $5 there? In Texas, they are only $4 a box so I was wondering if this mom was scamming an extra dollar too.
@Err, the prices go up and the number/size of the cookies go down every few years. Could be slight variations in price by locale, but I don't know for sure.
Pace yourself. Don't eat all remaining boxes at one sitting.

Where do you live? Uptightpainintheassistan?
mmmm Thin Mints
I love the junky ones with lots of icing in the centre.
I was almost assaulted by a 9-year old when he found out a ate the last of the "thanks-a-lots." Shouldn't've left the box in my bedroom if he wanted to see them again.
Also, I paid for them.
$4 a box in California. Report the bitch to the Girl Scouts.
The Thin Mints are the best! I tried the chocolate sandwich cookies and they were gross, way too sweet.
$4 in SoCal, I've bought ten boxes so far. These parents have to sell a ton and I try to help out coworkers.
they are $4 in Pennsylvania also.
@armatel yes. It's known as England.
Violet: no shit, biscuit.
Have a cookie.
They are only $3.50 a box in Iowa :)
$4 in FL. Ironically a few years back one of the scouts mother got in some ish for skimming off the top in sales.
I always buy thin mints for the freezer and somoas for any other waking moment. The scouts in my hood practically fight over me, I always clean them out.
$5 in northern Ca. It's more expensive for overhead here. It's legitimate. They aren't scamming.
Americans have the BEST Girl Scout cookies! We have Girl Guides here in Canada, but they only sell vanilla or chocolate cream (like an Oreo, but nowhere near as good).
Couple years ago localnbar tender was selling them for her daughter. I ordered 2 boxes and handed her a 10. She said hold on and i'll get your change when a random drunk chimed in. "Aw let her keep it as a tip." My quick wit took over. "If she has a uniform, she can deliver them to my house and i'll tip more than 2 bucks." Poor broad was mortified, but everyone else laughed.
Usually I get em when they have a table set up at Lowes or ShopRite.
