Shocker.

She prob has pull, I think he wants this bad...for his political career.
Btw. I don't think he gives two sheets about Keibler, he knows he's above her.

The Real Dragon said...

Yes Bitch.

Can you blame her?

PJ said...

Even the best lawyers in the WORLD do not make that kind of money. And despite the constant barrage of mistaken reports, Amal was NOT "Julian Assange's attorney" but merely a legal consultant on his case along with dozens if others.

If Georgie boy isn't stupid enough to read the warning signs now, well, he deserves exactly what's coming to him!

Something about this hookup just seems uber fishy to me and my guess is, this wedding never happens.

A man who needs to pay for girlfriends he is really that much above her or are you referring to his ego?

Lainey said at her SMUT Soirée this week that before he announced his engagement, CloonTang gave his boys $500k cash in suitcases. Or something.

SecretTorture - "ST" said...

And does that mean she's planning to stop working so she can be a stay at home wife? I do not like that woman one bit. Not to mention she was dating a different dude right up until he proposed.

LA Native said...

@Real Dragon I cant even explain why I feel this way, tell me why you think it will. Side note, they sure arent putting out the pap pics like they were at first, when this blind came out they stalled almost immediately.

PJ said...

Not physically anyway. The whole sudden turnaround in George's behavior and behavior with this particular woman are so transparent. Dude's ABSOLUTELY setting the stage to run for Democratic office somewhere here in the States, and as much as I hate to say this, "brilliant European educated fiancé if Middle Eastern descent" will have all of the liberal voters drooling.

I almost can't wait for the nauseating "second coming of JFK and Jackie" comparisons to start...

AJ said...

This will be an interesting relationship to watch. He most definitely has political endeavors going on.

Kristin Wigs said...

No way he runs for public office. His private life would never hold up to that kind of scrutiny. I bet he wants a political appointment. Couple ambassador slots are open.

The Real Dragon said...

@Real Dragon I'm biased I like them together. He's jus like his Pops Settle down with successful women after all those years of womanizing. Plus his run for politic is run the corner

The Real Dragon said...

@Kristin damn I wann be his friend. I'm SO Loyal Clooney. Call me Brah.

SecretTorture - "ST" said...

I wish people would see through this transparent charade but I know you are 100% correct. I can already see their wedding photos being shoved in everyone's face with that exact headline.

Kelly said...

I for one think this marriage to be is legit. Not for political or bearding reasons. Just me, I know.

sandybrook said...

Things better speed up aren't they getting married around the beginning of autumn? If he went after someone closer to his age the contract wouldn't be as costly.

Unknown said...

PJ correct even the upper echelon of lawyers don't make that kind of money unless they stumble into other enterprises or profitable investments through their legal practice or with the money they make from that practice. Like writing books or being on reality shows, amassing real estate, etc or I knew a law professor whose lawyer friends invented Trivial Pursuit, they offered him a slice he said no thanks because these guys were always coming up with bad schemes and he kicked himself for that one.

Partners, ones that stay in one place and really work 60-80 hours a week can make 7 figures in big international cities for sure but 20 million over how many years, or retiring politicians who are/were lawyers will be hired by firms for a good chunk of change as client draws or as "consultants" like former Presidents and Prime Ministers and Governors etc.

And I highly doubt she's making a few million a year now or ever. Political causes don't pay well esp if you are repping the underdog.

Violet said...

Why would he do that? Which boys? Seems an odd thing to do. Never really too sure on Lainey tbh.

Shark Week said...

Well, I don't understand.

The Real Dragon said...

@Sugar bread here is what she said

The biggest gossip story of 2014 thus far is the Solange/Jay-Z elevator dust up. The latest story coming out of New York is that Naomi Campbell was the catalyst that fateful night in May at the Met Ball. Apparently engaging in trash talking of some sort, Solange was pissed Jay-Z didn’t stop it somehow. Not clear enough, but hey I’ll take it.
If you’re a reader of the blog, you know that Alexa Chung has been the reason cited for Chris and Gwyneth’s uncoupling. Lainey offered further details, saying by December of 2013, Martin started to feel guilty about his affair and re-commited to Goop. They tried to make it work but he couldn’t forget Chung. However that door was not left ajar and she’s now cooled on him.
, Bradley Cooper swings both ways. She also alluded to Matt Damon dabbling in it as well.

We all know Julia Roberts is a “sanctimonious, better than you b*tch” but Hart shared a story of how she interviewed her one time and thanked for being punctual. Roberts’s reply “That’s what I do. I start on TIME.” She’s also great with men, but is awful to women.

Jake Gyllenhaal is in a bad way. During a booty call with Minka Kelly, she called his publicist because she was concerned he might hurt himself.

Kristin Wigs said...

Sugarbread, Lainey's Smut highlights

The Real Dragon said...

7. Charlize and Sean. “She’s not a nice woman. He is a not a nice man. This was made to happen.” The two are apparently blissfully miserable together.

8. Justin Timberlake is the subject of a Blind Item related to a painkiller addict. She also had these words for him: “Like his voice, his balls haven’t dropped. He’s also a piece of shit.” To wit: the charity, Shriners Hospital for Children, terminated their
relationship with him.

Clooney and Amal are legit. And he gave each of the dudes in his non Hollywood posse a briefcase with $500,000 at a dinner at his house a few months before he got engaged, thanking them for their loyal support and friendship.

Kanye is not gay, but he is an agitator, which is why he married one of the most polarizing women in the world. Oh and because of her bum, but that’s a personal theory.

Selena Gomez is not well liked; at the MMVAs, the Jenner girls were ripping her to anyone who would listen

Shark Week said...

Me neither. He fell gor her, changed his mind and decided to marry her, period.

The Real Dragon said...

Naomi Campbell had something t0 do with Jay-Z and Solange Knowles’ recent elevator fight…

“So apparently Naomi Campbell was messing around, and we don’t have the exact details, but apparently she was more of the trash talking variety and not like she and Jay Z were f*cking in the back variety,” said Lainey.

Ben Affleck isn't as squeaky clean as we would like to think…

“When I was in Hawaii, he was there swimming and there were rumours of him doing all these drugs,” said Lainey. “Before the press was even done doing the red carpet, Ben was being carried out by not one, but two security guards… like, he had no control of his limbs at all. The next day he had breakfast with the press and showed up looking his best, with his best shirt, best khakis…”

“What I can say is that he has repeatedly jeopardized his relationship with his wife. Gwenyth Paltrow once said about Ben Affleck, ‘he’s his worst enemy… he gets himself into trouble, and I think that when he’s up, he can’t help but go down. When he’s on his way down and then he bounces back up.’”
Clooney has finally grown up….

“You want to talk theories about why George decided to get married? I don’t know, you all think he his going to run for office one day?” asked Lainey. “If he’s planning on running for office, he’s going to have to accept all those one-night stands resurfacing… a lawyer is not going to bury that for him.”

“I think he might actually be in love, what about that? That George Clooney may have actually fallen in love?” she continued. “So I don’t think he’s going to run for office… I think he’s happy having been famous all this time, so I personally will rule that theory out.”

"Two weeks after he got married, he texted pictures of the ring to his closest friends, like his posse, the ones who are not famous,” she adds.

“About six months ago, George Clooney told these five or six of these guys that they have to come back to his house,” said Lainey. “They come over, he has dinner all ready for them, then he brings them into his smoking room, gives this long speech and says, ‘you guys have been with me through everything, when I wasn’t famous, when I became famous… I want you to know how much you mean to me, I want you to know that I would never have been able to do it without you. Time is short, I don’t know what will happen tomorrow, so this is my gift to you.’ Every one of them opened up a briefcase and inside was $500,000 each. That was three months before he met Amal, and according to two of those guys, who told their close friends, he and Amal are legit.”

Zac Efron has a coke problem… and an entitlement one too.

"Zac Efron, he’s doing really well… he was the best part in Neighbours. But he has had three trips to rehab in the past three months. It’s cocaine,” Lainey confirmed. “Last year at TIFF I saw Zac Efron and he wasn’t even the biggest celebrity at the party, but he was the only one who required security to clear out the bathroom so that he could do whatever it was he was doing. Zac Efron should be able to go to the f*cking bathroom without throwing people out.”
Channing Tatum loves his booze (but it works for him)…

“The only Channing Tatum dish I haven’t shared yet, but think is self explanatory, is that he’s a functioning alcoholic. On the set of 22 Jump Street, he would regularly pass out, then wake up in time for his scene, and then continue drinking,” said Lainey. “But he said himself, ‘I’m a functioning alcoholic’. He wasn’t kidding, he drinks all the time… cheers!”

You're absolutely wrong about lawyers' salaries. Partners at the big firms in New York make over $2 million a year. The highest salaries are at Wachtel, where partners make around $5 million a year, but there are a bunch of firms where salaries are $2 million and over. Imagining she has 20 years of work ahead of her, she would only need to average $1 million a year, which is easy as pie in NYC/London.

Sincerely,Your Friend said...

Reason I say that Clonneu knows he's better than Keibler...
1. He is. At least he's farrrrr more successful than she is. And rich, handsome men have their pick of women and I wouldn't call her tbe best he could have done.
2. He pays for a gf, not because he has to, because he wants to make the rules. Keibler would have jumped at him without the pay.
3. Yes, he also thinks he's better; obviously.

Kristin Wigs said...

I love you, Dragon :)

Sincerely,Your Friend said...

IMHO.

Obviously, as I've said before, I can't stand Keibler. (I don't think George is as hot as some women seem to think, but I don't mind him. And I've enjoyed watching him some times.)

Brenda L said...

Don't forget it has also been speculated that Clooney's name would come up regarding the director having the underage boy parties. It would look good for him to be safely married before that happened, if it DID happen, that is.

I always wonder how Lainey is so "plugged in" while living in Canada (a source/sources I presume). Ted lived in LA, so it made more sense.

But, I would totally vote for him. He is well educated and I agree with most of what I've heard come out his mouth. At least he may not be so easily swayed by "lobbyists" or bribers as I call them. Most people run, knowing they will lose, cause they keep and get rich on donations. Its all a shit show anyway. Clooney for fucking President!

Runswithscissors said...

@Brenda, yes, there are suspicions his rush is to distract from the Brian singer scandal, Clooney announced the engagement of sorts around the same time.

The news of the relationship broke at the same time, they got engaged soon after.

Wow interesting tidbits here. Thanks kids. As always the comments are more fun than the blinds.

I am in the camp of this pairing seems dubious at best. Rarely RARELY do confirmed bachelors get married so quickly upon meeting someone. If anything maybe he's mad about her but if this story is true, she's less than about him.

Scallywag said...

Amal could certainly earn $20 over the next several years. But regardless, it's a negotiation. He can afford a lot more, she's not asking for a ridiculous amount considering his assets.

Topper Madison said...

Here's a thought...Maybe George has some health issue that made him want to finally get serious with someone? I know a lot of guys who date around, say they're never getting married, etc., but then something hits them hard and, boom. They marry the next girl they date. It could be a parent dying, a health scare, a girl they think is beneath them dumping them, etc. Maybe something like that happened here? Otherwise I just can't understand the quick/quick of this whole relationship.

Groovy said...

Don't blame her even a little bit.

Unknown said...

Briefcases full of cash to his best male friends sounds like hush money to me. I don't buy into George's sudden change. Then again, I don't care what he does either. If he does run for office he'll be an entitled blow hard thinking his ideas are the only ideas. Forget what the average person/family needs, he has never understood what it's like to be an average person because he's never been one.

Couple of things - Trivial pursuit was invented by a photo editor and a sports editor. They brought on one lawyer as a business partner.

2) I worked for a busy immigration lawyer and she pulled $400,000 a year. I dated a lawyer and his lawyer buddies all make $250k minimum per year. Personally, I think 20 million is reasonable for the pre-nup. she's famous, good at what she does... there are many professional opportunities she is probably giving up by marrying him. That said, I also think the blind is fiction.

Unknown said...

if Clooney was connected to the Singer scandal, he would have been outed by now. Lots of people circling trying to make some money.

Oh, and have fun with this whore, George. Things should work out well.

Stefani said...

Considering his net worth, I think that is a reasonable starting point for negotiations. Lets say it doesn't work out to wed or they divorce, she could write books, get her own tv talk show, etc. Not just money she would make as a lawyer! He will want her to be available to travel the world with him on a whim and base her life around him, giving up the career.

PoliticallyIncorrect71 said...

Not swayed by lobbyists? Are you kidding me? He's the biggest tax evader in this country. He hasn't filmed here in what 3 years or so to avoid taxes? He writes op-ed pieces to Vanity Fair demanding the US "fair share" it's "wealth" with his pet UN projects? He HATES this country, which is why the non-American Muslim works well for the progressive world domination plan. If you buy into his "Everyman" stick, God help us.
NEVER here...summer in Italy, Christmas in Mexico at one of his many mansions...he's a hypocritical asshole. So is she. Have you seen who the "humanitarian" represents? Joke.

This WHOLE THING is political. You fall for it? Jesus...

PoliticallyIncorrect71 said...

Oh...and his public life would work out just fine for the progressives here. Look who they admire...the Kennedys, the Clintons, Weiner, Filner, Edwards...he's right up there. Liberal women are doormats. If she allows payment to give up her career and be the "global wife" for a buck...liberal feminists drool over that...why? I don't know.

$500K to each guy? HUSH MONEY. The Brian Singer thing is a PROBLEM. Hushed right now. Also...let's not forget the three blinds that are related to him (to follow)...

[Naughty But Nice Rob] Which A-list actor Рwho just got engaged Рhas a deal with his new fiance̩ that allows him to still see his special gentleman friend even after they get married?

The arrangement works for both parties. She gets to marry a superstar and enjoy all that comes with it – fame and fortune – and he gets to remain in the closet and still enjoy the company of men!

This couple is more like best friends than husband and wife!

PoliticallyIncorrect71 said...

[Blind Gossip] There have been a lot of break ups lately, and we hear that there is another one coming!

This celebrity is very beautiful – and has been famous for over 20 years now – but her taste in men has always been questionable.

Her spouse is not exactly a model husband. She has primary responsibility for raising their child/ren and keeping the family together… while he does little except cheat on her! He was cheating on her while they were dating, and kept cheating right through their marriage. In retrospect, it was pretty naïve of her to think that he would change once they got married.

One additional interesting aspect of this split is her long-time friendship with a very famous actor. The actor has become friends – no, make that very good friends – with her husband, so it will be interesting to see which half of the couple he will support after the split.

PoliticallyIncorrect71 said...

[Blind Gossip] Whenever this famous film Actor travels to New York, he has a very specific routine.

He usually stays at the same classic New York hotel. He usually stays in the same suite each time. He usually goes out to the same restaurants each time.

Sometimes he orders in room service. Food is not the only thing he orders in.

He also likes to order in models. Several at a time. The hotel staff knows the routine well. A hired car pulls up the front of the hotel, and several young, slim and beautiful models emerge. They are escorted up to his room where they enjoy his company for several hours. When he has had enough, the entire group is quietly escorted out of the hotel and into the waiting car.

There’s one additional little detail about these models you should know: They are all male.

We’re sure his fiancee really appreciates the fact that she gets to stay in the same suite where he f*cks his male model playmates on a regular basis. Good luck with that marriage!

Re: those briefcases of money. How did Lamey hear about this? George Clooney's guy friends have been his friends for decades and there have been zero stories about them talking to anyone outside of their group about George. Now this Canadian nobody is saying she was told about this. LIAR! That's what she is. These men would NEVER talk to anyone about Clooney.

George Clooney will never run for political office. Trust. He has too much baggage. And, he is not a politician.

People need to stop the heavy breathing. Clooney has no ties to the Singer debacle. NONE.

It depends on whether he wants her to give up her career and be constantly available to him. If so, $20M invested at current interest rates would generate $800K-$1M per year. High for an average attorney but low compared to senior "rainmakers" at large firms.
