There she was. This foreign born former A list mostly movie actress who is still a B+ lister who everyone loves sitting in a hotel bar drinking for several hours straight all alone and barely even checking her phone. It was a very sad sight and when she staggered out of the bar and up to her room, it was even more depressing.

I'm having a lot of trouble seeing the reported behavior as especially tragic. Who doesn't waste an evening in a hotel bar while traveling for business? Seriously. It's not just me, is it? What if there was a game on? What if she already read everything on reddit? What if everyone sh might have been texting was in a different timezone and already asleep?

Why is "barely even checking her phone" a criticism? I recognize the technical marvel of wireless communications but hasn't anyone noticed that 99% of the communications is drivel. When we used wirelines did we need to check every fifteen minutes as to what everyone was doing.
I would be in disbelief that this would be Rachel McAdams. She's so private and so far out of the Hollywood scene, she'd never get drunk by herself in public and make a scene. If people are thinking she's sad about the Gosling heir, she's had a serious bf for over a year, and she and Ryan broke up years ago. We hang onto the McGosling longer than she has likely lol.

I think it's awesome that an actress would sit in a hotel bar for several hours and enjoy a couple of cocktails (without constantly checking her phone). And if she staggered upstairs to her room, hey, at least she wasn't driving.

She was filming with Jake G in Pittsburgh recently, not sure if they are still here though. She's probably sad that stinky Eva ruined her chances to get Ryan back :'( i'm sad about it too!

Unless I'm mistaken, Rachel never hit A list. So I don't think it's her. WHY she's not A list has puzzled me for a long time. She's so talented and beautiful, at home with drama & comedy. After seeing her in "Red Eye", I thought she'd be unstoppable.

This blind makes me sick! Drinking in a hotel bar and then drunk walking to your room sounds great. Alone time. Hotels are fun. Was she crying or something? No reason this is sad. I bet celebrities cherish their quiet time. And it's true that if this were a male, no one would bat an eye.
I also doubt McAdams would care about a Ryan Gosling baby. Hell, if they wanted to get together again someday, a baby won't stop them. This isn't 1905.

I think people forget that Rachel was in a relationship with Martin Sheen for two years after the McGosling, and now has been with a Canadian music producer for over a year.
