After a panel discussion about the show, two members of the cast from this HBO hit were overheard talking outside while waiting for their cars. It was basically a four or five minute rant about the lead actress/boss of the show. I don’t know how they manage to all keep filming without it all exploding in hate.

Probably because nobody knows their names without googling. Lena Dunham IS the show and they're lucky to be on it to bitch about her.

From what I have learned about Steve Jobs, every programmer that worked for him complained about him. It just never made the news because: he was the boss.
Not a Lena fan but you are right on here TTM.
It was common knowledge that Steve Jobs was a big asshole and generally disliked by everyone that worked for him or met him for that matter. His 'vision' and persistence was admired by most though.
Actually, I'm a way bigger Andrew Rannells fan than I am a Lena Dunham fan. However, I bitch about people I work with too (and my family, and my friends...everybody's stupid except me!) And it can get pretty animated with a like-minded friend after a particularly rough day. So really, so what?
+1 - it's true. Lena can be shrill and obnoxious but she's the reason people know who these nobodies are. After the show they are on their own and we all know what that means

It also never made the news because he's a man. Matthew Weiner also has a reputation of being an asshole on the set of Mad Men and I'm sure many a bitch sessions were had about him as well. Nobody reports on it, though because...of course, he's a man. No boss is going to have everybody like them. Any boss who cares whether every person who works for them likes them is not a good boss. If she were a man, this would not even be an issue.
Well, Karpovsky has known Lena for a long time, way before Tiny Furniture even. I think the guy who plays Elijah was also friends with her before Girls. It sounds to me like it was harmless venting about working for a friend. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Maybe just venting after a long day - I watched the show 2 or 3 times & stopped because Lena is unlikeable & for me, unwatchable.
...and he might still be alive if he had made visiting the Doctor on a regular basis.
Everone gossips. Even about people they love. People just love to have a bitch. It lets off steam and it does not mean you hate the person.
