Four For Friday - Studio 54 - Mr. X
1) What former athlete who has been in the news quite a bit lately met his now ex wife at Studio 54 when she was on her honeymoon with her first husband? They were all snorting some coke at the same table in the VIP lounge.
2) Which mostly television actress who started in a campy '90s sitcom was a regular at Studio 54 in the late '70s when she was still a starlet looking for someone in the industry to sleep with? One of those people she did end up sleeping with in the VIP lounge was a then A-list mostly television actress who hasn't been acting nowadays. What made it even more freaky is that actress #2's husband watched the entire thing. And no, this wasn't the first time either had slept with another woman.
3) What EGOT winner was speedballing coke and barbiturates for most of her nights she spent at Studio 54? Considering all of the gigs she had during that time, she never got any sleep and would basically perform in a zombified state. Not really that surprising considering the lady in question.
4) What politician and celeb spawn had to be carried out of Studio 54 one night by security because she had not only been drinking way too much but had ingested something other than coke which she had a bad reaction too? Her mother swooped in to do damage control and this never appeared in any press outlets

Studio 54 was winding down in the 80's which was the year CB married Louis Malle, I think this is someone who was married in the 70's.

Kathie Lee was Frank's 3rd wife. This could be wife #2 (Astrid Lindley) who, according to Wiki, was married before she met Frank. (But she isn't a celebrity, she is/was a personal trainer.)

2. Fran Drescher, not Candice Bergen. The Nanny was campy and 90's, Murphy Brown was not campy and began airing in the late 80's. Plus Fran Drescher had that tiny part in Saturday Night Fever, and a lot of the extras in that film came from Studio 54.

1) Bruce Jenner - Bruce was world famous after winning the Olympics. Kris was a regular at Studio 54 with her then husband, attorney to the stars Robert Kardashian.
2) Actress #1 is FranDrescher; actress #2 is either Suzanne Somers or Candy Bergen. Both were already very famous. I crack up when people act like Bergen was unknown prior to Murphy Brown. She was a supermodel, and was considered one of the great beauties of her time.She starred in some of the most iconic films of the 70's - Carnal Knowledge, and The Wind and the Lion, just to name two. Murphy Brown didn't come along until middle age.

4. I was around in those days. Caroline Kennedy wasn't a party girl, she was a law school nerd. Her cousins were wilder... but I think this sounds more like that crazy Patti Davis (Reagan). She did have widely reported issues with drugs, which was so anti everything her Mother preached...so of course they'd hush it up.

1) Could be Frank Gifford, but it's not Kathie Lee. Her husband was a Christian music producer she met at Oral Roberts U.
2) I agree with the Fran Drescher guess. Debra Messing and Kristen Johnson (3rd Rock) were too young for Studio 54. Ackroyd and Donna Dixon met on Doctor Detroit - with Drescher, but married too late for this. Gilda Radnor was with G.E. Smith in the Studio 54 days. Suzanne Somers/Alan Hamel isn't a bad guess.
3) Liza with a Z for zombified, for sure.
4) Caroline Kennedy did indeed party at Studio 54. Often seen with a regular group that included Andy Warhol. Wouldn't doubt someone either slipping her something or getting her to try something during her college days. And Jackie O killing a story makes more sense than Nancy Reagan at that point.
