Today's Blind Items - Love Quadrangle
Back in season 2 of this hit almost television show, two of the leads hooked up. One is a closeted female (#1) and the other (#2) doesn't hang out in the closet, but is not exactly leading a Pride parade either. #1 used to be almost A list on television on a hit network show and then dropped off the earth until this latest gig. #2? You had to love her other projects to know who she was but for now is probably B+. Everyone on set knew they were hooking up in the trailer after filming. They dated for about six months until the start of the next season of filming. When #2 started dating another woman, #1 couldn't handle filming any more sex scenes with #2. Because of that, the writers had to add another character (#3) who probably is the most grateful person in the world because if it. When the new love interest was introduced #1 got ticked off and almost refused to work. So, the writers tried to minimize the sex scenes involving #2 and her role and is one of the reasons she might not be around on the show much longer.

Yep, Tricia13 got this. It's definitely OITNB. I will say I didn't know Laura Prepon is a lesbian irl, but she plays a very convincing one on the series. And as a red-blooded heterosexual male, I will go on record and say Ruby Rose is hot, hot, hot!

Initially Prepon/Schilling/Rose were my guesses but Prepon was barely in season 2 and Rose was introduced in season 3. If Enty did not get his seasons of OITNB mixed up, this can't be them.

I have never seen the show but from what I read this sounds right. Writer of the show made a great gain of going to prison.
She wasn't in much of season 2 but what she was in was almost exclusively with Schilling. Including a sex scene, make out scene, and cuddling in a pool. So, it makes perfect sense that that's when they would have hooked up. Most of the rest of the cast not around, filming intimate scenes.
Then it says they dated for a bit but broke it all off by the start of filming next season. Which is season 3. And then when Schilling got a gf (Carrie Brownstein) Prepon got jealous and didn't want to have sex scenes with her anymore. So they brought in RR. That's season 3, that's right.
And the writers did claim Ruby Rose would have sex scenes but there were none. All she and Piper ever did was kiss. Makes sense with them minimizing the sex scenes to accommodate jealousy.
Also, Piper and Alex had a few sex scenes at the start of the season. But then their break seemed abrupt and poorly plotted. Pretty much nothing intimate after episode four. (Which would work with around when Taylor Schilling and Carrie Brownstein first hooked up in August.) And the reason they broke apart was just suddenly there in episode 9 after they were being cute and lovey at the dinner table like the episode before. It didn't make a lot of sense in the story. Makes more sense after this.
Is this the reason for the rumor that the producers are saying "other OITNB" characters are more interesting and they may go in a different direction next season?
The rumor is: the two leads are NOT signed for next year.
Taylor Schilling signed a six year contract. Whether they use her or not she is absolutely signed for next year.
The others being more interesting is such BS, though. Even when people make stories about how much they hate Piper, Piper is STILL the only one they ever talk about. If she were boring to them there would be stories about Caputo or Norma's toast. Because they didn't even pay attention to Piper. But they don't. People are so full of it.
