Blind Item #12 - More 80's
So far, the blinds have all been movies because most people, whatever their age have seen the big 80's movies. This one is television though. To show you how prevalent the casting couch was in the 80's, I want to talk about this show. A middling hit. The lead actor would go on to make an even bigger name for himself before becoming a real life cartoon. Anyway, there was generally a female guest star each week. You guessed it. They had to be willing to sleep with our actor to get the job. One of those guests did become his wife, but only after the show ended its run.

I wouldn't call Baywatch a "middling hit". It was a huge hit. I'm trying to make "Charles in Charge" fit, but I can't. What show had a new woman guest star each episode?
The only show that I can think of that had a new female guest every episode was Seinfeld but it doesn't fit.
Knight Rider
Jim Carrey - The Duck Factory. The reference to real life cartoon - his character drew cartoons, he would later become the Mask. A lot of 1 episode women guests.
Dudes and dudettes - Seinfeld and Baywatch were 90's ! WTF ?!?!!?
Growing Pains - Kirk Cameron? He is certainly a cartoon now and married his coworker.
I have to agree with The Hoff and Knight Rider. That was the first thing that popped into my mind. Knight Rider in the 80's. Bigger hit he went onto was Baywatch. The cartoon could be his current reputation but he was also in The Spongebob Movie.
Let's go a little different. How about The A-Team and Mr. T? He had his own Saturday morning cartoon, and pretty much each week there was a new damsel in distress to be rescued.
I'm trying to think of other actors who were cartoonified. Henry Winkler, Don Adams, Bob Denver... Mr. T is the only one that seems to fit. The only thing that seems off is the "middling hit" and "the star."

I read it as The guy is now "a real life cartoon" as the guy makes an ass out of himself ..people laughing at him--- The Hoff fits perfectly because:
A) all of his drunken escapades (i.e.his daughter taping him eating the hamburger off the floor).
B) His big singing career overseas wherein he looks like one of those leisure suited lounge singers.
Baywatch Hoff actually was made into a cartoon
Tim Allen. Always new females coming in on that tool time show. Became a cartoon in toy story.
