This former tweener turned bad actress has a new record and is out everywhere promoting it. Well, not everywhere. A radio station wanted her to sing an acoustic version of her new single and she refused. She doesn't sing live. So, she had her PR people tell the radio station she was not feeling well the morning of the interview and bailed.

LOL, what happen to ( bad singer) that is always attach to Selena's blinds? Oh wait, is it because her new album is getting mega praise by all the music critics and slaying the charts.;) BTW, she did sing live on BBC live, Ellen, Today, Jimmy Fallon and several other shows in Europe and sounded AMAZING! So if this blind is true its prob because she was actually exhausted from promoting nonstop (equals no sleep) in NYC and needed take a break and pace herself for health reasons. I have become a fan of hers since THWWIW and I am absolutely in love with her new album REVIVAL, its so good!

I could have sworn that Selena did some acoustic versions of her songs before like "Come and Get It".
She did a whole acoustic concert for UNICEF with her old band back in January 2013, I watched it on Youtube and ts actually really good! She also had actor/singer Nat Wolf and his brother come up on stage and sing a cover song with her of "Oh Hey" by The Lumineers.
Well she does sing live, so she does sing ;)
I fail to see how any of the examples of her singing live could be anything other than mediocre. Herr BBC performances were dreadful and her back up singers were overpowering. Her other performances had a lot of help (live tuning) or live backing tracks. Its a shame because her songs shouldn't be hard to perform.

Well than your standards are very low. She is one of the weakest singers on today's pop scene. Her album is filled with voice correcting programs. There is no denying her voice is pitiful. Even just looking at her music it rarely requires her to anything difficult with her voice, because she can't. So she hides behind heavy production and lip syncing (which she has done plenty of times before in the past. (Even recently on the Today show that song she performed that isn't an official single was completely lipped)
The Today show was lip sync, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? All of her performances as of late have been LIVE (BBC live, Ellen, Today, Jimmy Fallon, ect) Its truly AMAZING how much hate someone can have for someone else that they actually believe their own made up BS and try to force it on others..LMAO. Not one respected music journalist has said any of the BS you are spewing here about her recent album or recent live performances, instead they been giving her rave reviews. Please take a seat with your hate and actually listen to her new album because it is AMAZING!!! This album has such a good vibe and I think it would be "Good For You" LOL, get it! There are so many diverse good tunes on it like Hands to Myself, Revival, Perfect, Me & the Rhythm, Sober, Camouflage, Perfect and especially Kill em with Kindness. ;)
I haven't listened to her. She might sound great, but you using her live performances as proof isn't proof. Nowadays most of the newer acts use some form of auto tune/recordings of them singing. Some do it so they can dance without breathing heavy into the mic, some lip synch the whole concert. Others do it for some songs, & some sing live but use the backing tracks to make them sound better than they are.
I don't know if that's the case with Selena. I just wanted to point out that her live singing isn't necessarily live singing if she's like many of the other pop stars of today.
Good lord didn't realize the teenagers found this site again. Regardless of how much you like her music, HER VOCAL ABILITIES leave much to be desired, especially for someone who sells as much as her. BBC live was nothing to brag about, and again as I previously said she lip synced the song that wasn't her single on Today. I didn't watch the other performances because as soon as I saw her lip syncing to that one I didn't bother. I think it was called Me & the Rhythm.

Almost everyone lip syncs on the Today show. It's early in the morning and bad on the voice. If it's cold, they absolutely should lip sync.
Fact: When the winter olympics were in Utah, during the opening ceremonies...the Mormon Tabernacle Choir lip synced (I know the guy who recorded them in a gym), because it was so cold it was dangerous to the vocal chords.
So lip syncing on an Early Morning talk show is normal.

You went from late twenties to mid twenties. But your grammar, sentence structure, fan-brand loyalty and the fact that you stopped posting after 2 p.m. scream high school.
As a mentor and editor of newbie writers, I can tell whether someone is young (the above qualities), or is old (two spaces after a period and too many commas). Seniors can produce a marketable product with a little advice.

Sheep FLint, you are right and the others are deaf. I like Selena Gomez, but girl can't really sing and she's admitted it. She sang live for MTV when she did "Come and Get It" and she sounded terrible. Terrible terrible.
Regardless of her singing abilities, (everyone will have a different opinion about it) the thing is, Selena actually done some acoustic (unplugged) versions of her songs before. Why not now? Just wondering.
