Today's Blind Item - Left Dad For Dead
In what is becoming a familiar pattern for this foreign born former A+ list mostly movie actor who is now an A lister, he has cut another person out of his life. This time it is his father. Well, let me clarify. His father is in his life in name only and when it suits the actor. Our actor is not exactly known for his good works or deeds. In fact, he is probably in the top five pain in the butt actors to work with. He is a jerk and an a-hole, but is really good looking so keeps getting more chances. Our actor talks a good game about charity and how his father inspired him, but the truth is, when his dad needed him the most after an operation, our actor bailed. His dad had some work done on his brain which had a lot of side effects. Instead of getting his father the help he needs, he cut him off and the dad is now living at an old family friend's home with no income and no way to work with his condition. Meanwhile, our actor keeps using the dad's name as an example of how good our actor is. It is an awful situation, but our actor doesn't care. As always, our actor always puts himself first.

If Liam Neeson's dad is still alive I'll say him because they were a strict Roman Catholic family but he nearly converted to Islam about 10 years ago.
@Tricia13-I think you got it with Ryan Reynolds. Jim C is a good guess because he seems like an Ahole too, but his dad died.Plus RR is good looking- a handsome p****.
Jim Carrey's father died a long time ago. Ryan Reynolds? What charity does he push? Has Seth Rogen ever talked about his father?

The A Lister probably has a very good reason to disown his father.
My dad was an a**hole and had no respect for me, either. (I learned very young that I am NOT good at algebra and my electric engineer dad thought I was stupid because I still don't get algebra. My wife is a math wiz, so, I just listen to her.)
Anyway, my dad and I didn't speak for decades once I left MA to live and work in LA.
My mom tried desperately to get me to go visit him when he was dying. I think I replied: dad was already dead to me. She's disliked me ever since.
I know. My situation is sad. And, none of you should care, because it is my situation, so, I am NOT going to judge the A Lister at all.
@MicaThanks, I never knew/heard much about Jim's family- just his GF history etc, and his daughter.

I agree David, cut my mom out years ago. She has a lot apologize for but I know I'll never get that.
Wow, I guess Ryan Reynolds is an A+ overall jerk. There are valid reasons to distance yourself from a parent but when you have the financial means to support a close relatjve,it should be expected. Hope whoever it is can sleep at night and are a better parent to their child!
Just like we can assume he has a good reason to leave his dad be we can also assume he's a dick for doing so. So don't come in here assuming we don't know there's two sides to every story we get it boo.

He is going to be more of a jerk if Blake Lively keeps acting and divorces his butt. Don't know. We have our stories. I opt for kindess without contact in some contact. They don't have to know it's you behind the scenes.
Charity is the Michael Fox foundation / Parkinson's. Don't know if he still is but he was a board member a few years back.

This could be Ryan Reynolds, but he's not A list. He isn't getting films greenlit, he's made nothing but flops for years. He's hanging on by his fingernails. He doesn't even have Ryan Gosling name recognition. He's now famous for being married to Blake Lively. geez.
Donald Sutherland does not need his son's money. He's successful in his own right (since at least 1969..Kellys Heros)
Plus Rogan is Canadian. Canada's health care system wouldn't allow such shit.
This TOTALLY reads like Ryan Reynolds. Except for the "former A+, now A lister" part. He's cute, but he has never been A+. A is also hotly debatable - even taking into account Enty's rather loose interpretations of "fame".
I feel ya, David! Mr. Kay cut off his father over 20 years ago, and the old man didn't stop whining and moaning about how his only son did him wrong until the day he died. There's never just one reason for a person reaching that breaking point, but once it's reached there's no going back and Hubby has never regretted his choice.
BTW, will be in Vegas next month. I'll think of you whenever I pass an expensive building for sale! :)

In His GQ arrival that recently came out , he didn't have anything good to say about his father. He said that their relationship wasn't good growing up or something like that. Talking about Ryan Reynolds...
