What A/B-list actress and singer who has appeared in more than one medium agreed to sing at event sponsored by that slimy cult, even though she’s a devout Christian and abhors their beliefs? Her reason for accepting this odd gig was that she was getting a big fat paycheck. It just seemed like a desperate move for some extra cash.

Lots of people do far worse than perform and for far less money.
Not sure of her financial status but I am sure she doesn't have Madonna, Elton or Babs money so a paying gig is a paying gig. Must be nice to be able to turn down a job for your principles if you can afford to do so, just saying.

So what? Kristin got paid for a job. And when I was 13 I drew a logo for a republican organization my neighbor's father was involved in and I'm the most progressive, left wing, Bernie Sanders supporter, person you could meet.

It was a paying job, so I don't see anything wrong with that. It's not like she joined the cult.
