One of the reasons this movie has been delayed for another year is that the lead female in it is underage. You would never know that though by what she was forced to wear in the movie. Everyone at the studio was fine with it until they learned how old she is. It freaked them out. The director, a known womanizer and part-time actor probably had designs that he is some reincarnation of Louis Malle. He probably also wants to have sex with her when she turns 18.

Just googled her. Not cute, but Braff's no looker either. She should prepare herself for how to deal w/predatory males on set if she wants to stay in the biz. Braff won't be the first or last to try & perv on her under the guise of work.
For DECADES people gave Teri Shields shit because they felt she was exploiting Brooke since she was a child, what with the VERY underage nude pics, and of course the Louis Malle movie Pretty Baby (which is actually a great movie and if I remember correctly, despite the character she played, she was only nude in 1 scene and that was in a non sexual way. After that backlash, Brooke ALWAYS used a body double for any scenes). Anyway, in Brookes recent book (which I recommend) she makes it clear while Teri was not the best mother, or even the best manager, she made damn sure she was around to protect Brooke from the pervs. And that ALSO extended to her castmates. While shooting Blue Lagoon, Teri felt the director had designs on Chris Atkins, so she made him move into the bungalow with her and Brooke so she could keep an eye on things. Say what you will about Teri, but I wish more child star moms were that aware.

Hollywood much prefers the parents to look the other way which is disastrous but tempting money-wise. It makes me sick.

I don't know where you got your information, which may very well be true, but Teri was an alcoholic and rarely sober.
I don't care if it was one scene or thirty, having your daughter naked at 12 years old is just wrong, no matter the context.
Really..she would be required to sign a contract with a producer and her agent, which wouldn't be valid..if her parent or guardian signed, they would know..just to stay out of legal trouble, they would know
I got the right actress but got the wrong movie (I guessed "Smart Ass"). Hmmm, this makes me rethink an old blind that suggested that James Franco was caught by Joey's mom sending lewd pics to her phone. Since Joey, Franco and Braff were all together on that Oz movie I think now it may have been Braff sending the pics.
