Blind Items Revealed #5

June 7, 2016

This show actually barely qualifies for a 90’s show. The cast hated each other. The parents and kids warred with each other. The daughter on the show was underage and hooking up with a crew member. She was an out of control bulimic who crashed and burned as soon as the show ended.

Alf/Andrea Elson

So how about naming and shaming the perpetrator, rather than the victim?

Underage = unable to consent = statutory rape.

One of the writers from that show was on drugs, and later wrote about his time on it. They made a movie about it with Ben Stiller.

'Alf' was a show that never appealed to me.
The make-up artist on 'Alf" also worked a couple of movies that I worked on.
So glad i left the business.
Hollywood attracts the strangest people -- I will include myself in that.

I had to check and while checking on IMdB, it says Andrea met her husband, Scott Hopper, while he was working 'Alf.'
So, (did) she ended up marrying the alleged (molester)?
Anyway, her last credit was in 1997.

Hmmmm...I don't know what I was doing at the time, but I never saw evan a single episode of Alf. Sounds like a nightmare for the youngsters on it, though.

I hope not. I knew his son growing up.

She was 17-ish when the show started and 21-ish by the end.

That!!

Yes, he was caught by a tabloid offering crack to homeless man and having homosexual orgies with them.

I loved Alf but I can see how it would be difficult for the cast members to accept playing second fiddle to a puppet.

Yes the plot was thin, but I have a soft spot for Alf (and the cartoon chronicling his life on Melmac).

Probably wouldn't have appreciated it as much if I were an adult then.
