Cheesegrater,
I wouldn't want to hook up with Clegane, but he's one of my favorite characters in the books. He's interesting.

cheesegrater15 said...

Lucius is a good one. I had many a fantasy about him.

cheesegrater15 said...

Nemo, in the book he's scary af. Rory McCann is just so damned good.

@ Nemo - book version, of course. Van Sant nearly ruined one of the best novels of all time with that dreaded film version.

Lucius Malfoy is a choice I wouldn't have thought of but now can't stop thinking of.

Same with Captain America, but only if he shows up with Agent Carter (1940s era).

Did I mention Agent Carter?

Jo and/or Stark from Eureka.

Aquaman.

Commodore Norrington.

Hawkeye Pierce (Movie, not TV show)

I just tried to read this again after 20-some odd years but didn’t get very far...it unfortunately is pretty outdated. My re-read of Still Life with Woodpecker was much better, still love Tom!

Do Tell said...

+10000 @cheesegrater! Kiefer may be a liquored up mess at times, but I have always found him sexy AF.

Leonardo DiCaprio as Hank in Marvin's Room

Or Leonardo DiCaprio as Arthur Rimbaud in Total Eclipse (if I had a penis)

Johnny Depp as Don Juan de Marco was also pretty hot

Right now, there's no actor who really does it for me. Leo has turned into a complete weirdo and lost both his looks and his talent. And don't get me started on the state of Johnny ...*sigh*.

Anothergrayhare said...

Jamie Fraser without a doubt

I also used to fancy French actor Mathieu Amalric about a decade ago. Watched 'A Quantom of Solace' only because of him (it's the only Bond movie I've ever seen).

And I just remembered I had a crush on James McAvoy's character in 'Atonement' (don't remember his name).

Glue said...

@Do Tell - Yes. Keifer's character from The Lost Boys - good one!

Tracey said...

Eric Northman. Though I think I'd prefer Alexander as himself.

Nemo said...

Dena,
I read it for the first time about a year ago and I agree with you. I can see how it would have been an important book for the time, but "outdated" was exactly how I felt about it. It was my first by Robbins, and it didn't make me excited to pick up another by him. I'll try another sometime, though. I give authors a few chances.

Daniel Day-Lewis' Hawkeye or Eric Schweig's Uncas.

Moose said...

@ Dena - do you mean "Cowgirls"? I find it more a struggle to read in my 50s than it was in my 20s, I'll admit (especially with being sober), but I still have huge mad love for the book.

"Still Life" is a better written, more structured, and less abstract read. Enjoyable as f""". Queen Tillie's "Uh, oh, spaghetti-o's" can still make me guffaw.
