@ Anon I agree. They don't really hate Jussie. He PROVES that minorities cry racism in a way that helps them. They can point to him as a made up case of race hate and then others will have skepticism or lack of empathy cast on their similar true stories. He really did a lot of damage but NOT to the White Supremacists, to his very own people.
Season six. There's optimism for you.
Jussie shows its nothing about race, but all about money and privilege. If you have the connections, you get a good deal. If you are poor, they lock you up and throw away the key.
Anyways, I think they are pulling a James Gunn. Taking him off the project without firing him and when enough time passes bring him back. Him Taraji and Daniels are super close.

I guess the Empire stars letter of support and demand that he remain didn't work out as they planned. This show is done anyway and can't believe it will be renewed after this season. This season's renewal was a gift from network but glad they had backbone enough to shut down smollet.
It wouldn't surprise me if producers made a deal to get one more season in exchange for not making a stink with networks demand to drop/option smollet.
