Today's Blind Items - 24 Hour Party People - The Sequel

It's well known that the double named group made an embarrassing foray into another musical genre - probably the worst since the literally named rock band had done so. What's not well known is that the one trio did the same thing that very decade.

See: by then they were kind of known as racists, and felt they needed an image makeover. But they made a somewhat unfortunate choice to show their support for "the blacks." This would be the double murderer. For him they recorded a version of probably the most banned song at the time (not about sex). Apparently they didn't realize that white people shouldn't be singing the one word. He seems  to have not minded though, because he sent them back a photo of himself brandishing an identical copy of the weapon he had used, and grinning. It was signed in the victims' blood.

They also recorded a version of one of their own songs - the one about waiting - for the attorney, but using his name, and changing the language ie talking in Hebrew (speaking in Yiddish). He got back too with his signed standard publicity photo: him lying in a speedo, his head propped by his hand, winking.
