Today's Blind Items - The Devil Wears Nada

Let's talk about the song first, because the original opening line referenced a med of a different kind. But some of the band along with the label informed the singer that maybe it wouldn't be a good idea to encourage people to stop taking their meds. So the performer went with another kind - the sort that you probably don't want to take too much of or too often, because other people need them to work too.

But then there's the video. Obviously the singer's part was performed in front of a green screen, but that was because they couldn't get the permit from the police for this person to do that in front of office workers, tourists, families.

The extras were paid to touch the singer's shoulder, but for one of the barely legal girls it changed to: you're going to have to touch somewhere else nearby. When she objected the singer got very upset, and compared herself to this one multi-armed goddess (she'd recently become aware of). Are you saying you wouldn't touch her? Frightened, the girl ran off, but the singer gave chase, shouting at her down the block. Fortunately, the police returned the performer to the studio with the expectation she'd get the help she needed - including getting back on the one kind of med.

Thank U policia, she said, delusionary thinking that the Reconquista had happened, and that she was being protected from the one girl, thinking she'd be "disappeared." In fact, the girl was placed in the state version of the federal program for her own safety.
