This foreign-born gossipy actor and his “supposed significant other” made another carefully timed appearance together, this time at a family wedding celebration overseas.

The problem?

Apparently nobody reminded the actor that when you’re trying to convince everyone you’re part of the world’s “cutest couple”, you’re generally supposed to look like you’re enjoying standing next to your other half.

While the actual newlyweds were smiling and leaning into each other, our actor stood several inches away from his companion, stone-faced, holding her upper arm like he was escorting her out of the venue.

But the universe supplied the punchline.

Across the actor’s hat was a Portuguese word famous for describing a deep, bittersweet longing for someone or something absent.

You truly couldn’t script it better.

Maybe next time somebody should worry less about getting the couple into the same photograph and more about getting the actor to look happy to be there.

BONUS: Within hours, fan accounts were already circulating the photograph as proof of just how “cute” the couple supposedly is while others were completely photoshopping her out of the photo all together.

Sometimes the PR writes its own satire.
