George Michael Died Of Natural Causes

George Michael died of natural causes as the result of heart disease and a fatty liver, a British coroner says.

Darren Salter, senior coroner for Oxfordshire, says a post-mortem has found that the singer died of "dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver."

Dilated cardiomyopathy is a condition in which the heart's ability to pump blood is limited, while myocarditis is inflammation of the heart muscle.

Michael died at his home in Oxfordshire county, southern England, on Dec. 25. He was 53. An initial autopsy failed to determine the cause of death, and his publicist stated at the time that the singer had not been ill.

Salter said Tuesday that because Michael died of natural causes, no inquest will be held.

Did George Michael Try To Kill Himself?

After his one car crash over the weekend, George Michael is being allowed to recover from his injuries. After looking at the photos and reading about how it all happened, he really is lucky to be alive. Of course, with his physical condition, he is lucky to be alive, so maybe he just lives everyday to the fullest. The other explanation, which I am starting to think might be the real explanation, is that George Michael tried to kill himself. He probably figured if he bailed out of a car doing 70 he would probably have a chance of dying. It is only through good luck that he managed to live. A lot of luck. Police are waiting to talk to him.

George Michael Headed To Rehab - Cancels Shows

George Michael has announced that he is canceling all of his Australia shows for November and December so he can get treatment. He says it is for anxiety. Uh huh. He also says it is related to his almost near death experience in Vienna last year which was at the time also considered to be "anxiety." He sure does have a lot of anxiety for a guy who smoked so much pot in his lifetime. I think it is great that George is getting help and I think he is actually getting close to getting this thing manageable.

George Michael Even Gives Up Pot

I guess George Michael will never have that tour with Snoop Dogg that he wanted so much. It turns out that George is so serious about his recovery and his near death last year that his friends told The Sunday Mirror that he is even giving up his beloved pot. George has said he does not want to be near it or smell it or ever see it again. George nearly died last year and was in a three week coma after being struck down by what he keeps calling pneumonia. I don't really care what he calls it, but I'm glad he is alive and hopefully he can stay with his recovery program and live a very long life.
