James Gandolfini Was Getting A Divorce

According to The Enquirer, at the time of his death, James Gandolfini was in the process of getting a divorce and that he was just going through the motions in his marriage to his second wife and that his former girlfriend, sex therapist, Lora Somoza (above) was the object of his affection. Apparently James wanted to get back together with her, but she said she was in a relationship. Someone out there, probably Somoza, told The Enquirer that James was headed for divorce and that while he loved his daughter with his wife, he did not love his wife any longer. Lora has been interviewed by numerous tabloids over the past few weeks and I think a lot of people  are surprised they never got married. I think she could not handle his excess. I think it is interesting that a sex therapist was hired as an assistant to a director of a movie and that is how James and Lora met. Sounds like a neat way to hide someone on the payroll.

Hilaria Thomas Tweets About Anniversary Presents While At James Gandolfini Funeral

There are not many places today where people don't drag out their phones and text or e-mail or even Tweet, but Alec Baldwin's wife may have crossed the imaginary line and then rubbed out that line and made a new one for herself. The funeral of James Gandolfini started at 10 a.m., and Hilaria decided that she was bored out of her mind at the funeral and showed she has no class at all, which is not surprising considering the things she has done since she got married to Alec, and Tweeted at 9:53, 10:17, and 11:06. What was so important that she needed to Tweet during the funeral?

She wanted her followers to suggest some great wedding anniversary presents. Oh, wait, it gets better. She also promoted her upcoming visit to the Rachael Ray show. See, before Hilaria hooked up with Alec, no one had ever heard of her except those people who take her yoga classes. The yoga instructor now suddenly finds herself getting hosting gigs on television shows and appearing on Rachael Ray and you can tell those kinds of things are way more important than some funeral.

A rep for Hilaria says she left early because she was feeling faint. Uh huh. No she didn't. and even if she did, I guess she was feeling well enough to Tweet about all those other things. No one will ever let her live this down.

Alec did his best to be his usual calm self by calling the first reporter who mentioned the Tweets a queen and said he would stick his foot up the reporter's butt, but that the reporter would probably like it too much. Great guy that Alec. Hilaria has since disabled her Twitter.

James Gandolfini's Body Is Back In New Jersey

Last night, a charter flight landed in new Jersey from Rome, carrying the body of James Gandolfini who died last Wednesday. HBO says that the funeral for Gandolfini will be held this Thursday in Manhattan at 10 a.m. at Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in Manhattan.

Because he died in Italy, I don't know if that will make it more or less likely that we will ever get to really know why he died other than the heart attack we have already been told. Did he really have 8 alcoholic drinks before he died? I think it sucks that his son was the one who had to find him, and to see his father, barely alive in a hotel room in a foreign country. His son is not that old and then it must have been crazy and there was no one there for the son. Everyone has been selling stories about Gandolfini this week trying to make a buck. It's interesting they were not trying to sell those stories when he was alive.

James Gandolfini Was Out Of Control On Coke And Booze During Sopranos Run

Talk about perfect timing. The new issue of GQ hits stands next week and in the article they talk about James Gandolfini's drug and alcohol problem that shut down production of the Sopranos for a period of time and his movie The Mexican. In divorce documents his ex-wife filed, she alleges that Gandolfini was so messed up on coke and booze that he would hit himself in the head and was violent and even was so out of control that production on the Sopranos was shut down for four days once when James went missing and that production on The Mexican also had to be shut down at one point. She also alleges that during their marriage, Gandolfini had a string of affairs and was crazy about strippers. You can read the whole article here. 

James Gandolfini Has Died

James Gandolfini, the Emmy Award-winning actor who shot to fame on the HBO drama “The Sopranos” as Tony Soprano, a tough-talking, hard-living crime boss with a stolid exterior but a rich interior life, died on Wednesday in Italy. He was 51. His teenage son, Michael, found the actor collapsed in their Italy hotel room and called for help. The two were on a father-son vacation.
