"I Don't Like Goodbyes. NBC Does." - Jay Leno Tapes Final Show

After 22 years and one previously attempted exit, NBC has finally shown Jay Leno the door. When he first ascended to the Tonight Show throne he did so in a very messy fashion and when he originally left in 2009 that was also messy. This time it was more of a spill as Jay admitted last week that it wasn't his decision to leave and he was being pushed out but that he won't be back. Last night he teared up a bit but I felt like he just did the whole last week of shows thing so who do you ask the second time you do it? I actually thought Sandra Bullock on Wednesday was the best last week guest he had. Jay will probably end up on some network like Fox and competing against everyone else. Conan just hopes it's not TBS but I think Jay is a network or nothing kind of guy.

Jay Leno Wants To Be Tonight Show Host

In an interview airing Sunday on 60 Minutes Jay Leno says that it was not his choice to leave The Tonight Show and if it were up to him he would like to stay. “It’s not my decision, and I think I probably would have stayed."

Jay also says he was blindsided when the announcement first broke that he was being replaced by Conan O'Brien a few years ago and doesn't understand why he is considered the bad guy in all that. Umm because you undermined him and kept begging to go back to your old time slot and pressured executives everyday to let you have the show back. If Jimmy Fallon slips at all during his first few months on air I think you can probably expect the same type response from Jay. He wants his show and when he does leave he is going to be kicking and screaming and trying to get his job back. I think he would love working on the show until he dies. It will be interesting to see if he gets a gig on another network or if he does kind of play the wait and see game to see if he can get back on the Tonight Show. I think the fact he says it was not his decision is throwing the first stone and hoping it leads to drama and him making another return to the show. Whatever happened to good luck and then taking your bajillions of dollars and leaving.

Khloe Kardashian Admits Kris & Bruce Jenner Live Apart

I seem to recall the family Kardashian/Jenner coming down hard on media outlets and bloggers who dared to say that Bruce Jenner and Kris Jenner did not live in the same house. TMZ talked about it for days saying that everything was great with Bruce & Kris and that they lived together and Harvey at that moment had just finished putting his puppet string back in his shirt after getting off Kris' lap and knew what he was talking about. Well, there must have been a change of policy in the house because Khloe Kardashian told Jay Leno the couple does not live together, and that she does not approve of the arrangement, but insists they are fine as a couple. Uh huh. She also said it was like how she did not see Lamar all the time because he hides in his man cave, but at least they were in the same house. So, Bruce apparently only shows up for filming and at that time he stays in the garage.

NBC Gives Jay Leno $15M To Make Him Go Away

It is official and I'm not sure this time that Jay Leno will ever be able to come back. NBC has given Jay Leno $15M to make him go away before his contract with the network expires. This has now paved the way for Jimmy fallon to take over The Tonight Show and Seth Myers to replace Jimmy Fallon on Late Night. Leno will be paid through September 2014, but will step down right before the Winter Olympics which are on NBC and will be used to launch Jimmy Fallon. For his part, there are rumors that Leno will move to Fox and keep his same time slot.
