No Joan Rivers Autopsy

At the time Joan Rivers died, her daughter, Melissa Rivers decided against an autopsy. Because of that, it may never be clear what actually caused the death of her mom, but it probably isn't necessary to for one to have been performed to sue the clinic that performed the procedure. Melissa knew that Joan's procedure had been botched before Joan died. If Melissa' lawyers thought it necessary, it probably would have been performed. Melissa didn't want her mother opened up for no important reason and I can fully understand that. If Melissa decided she didn't want to sue, I would be ok with that too except that I think something should be done about the people involved in this and Melissa suing is probably the best way for that to be accomplished. 

Future Of Fashion Police Up In The Air

Giuliana Rancic gave an interview to ABC News and told them she is uncertain of whether Fashion Police will continue without Joan Rivers. " They are looking at different scenarios," Rancic said. "A lot of that will be up to [Melissa] and how she's feeling and how she decides what she wants to do, along with the execs here at E! There is no word now -- they are seeing what Fashion Police looks like without Joan.A part of me is like Joan would want Melissa and us and the team to go on and I know she would, but it's just a matter of can there be a show without Joan? Do we want to do a 'Fashion Police' without Joan? I don't know."

Considering they are having a special tonight paying tribute to Joan I think the show will continue. It is one of E!'s biggest shows and awards season is coming up in the next few months. At the very minimum they are going to want to do some kind of recap after each event and if they are willing to do that, I think they might as well continue the show. It will be different without Joan, but I just can't see Melissa walking away from it, and ultimately at least as far as Fashion Police goes, it really is her decision.

Joan Rivers' Doctor Took A Selfie While She Was Unconscious

As more information starts coming to light surrounding the death of Joan Rivers, it sounds like Melissa Rivers is going to be paid millions for what was the unnecessary death of her mother. I don't know what was going on at the clinic where Joan had her throat surgery but it sounds like it was more like a frat party than a surgical procedure. The head of the clinic has already been let go from his position. Now, CNN is reporting that after the doctor at the clinic finished his procedure, Joan's doctor stepped in and before starting the biopsy which led to Joan's death took a selfie with her while she was still under. Who does that? He was probably trying to upload it to Instagram or something while performing the biopsy. Does this kind of thing happen a lot during surgeries? It scares the hell out of me that people don't take surgery seriously.

Melissa Rivers has just released a statement that her mother, Joan Rivers, has died. She was 81. 

Joan Rivers Is On Life Support

Not much news is coming from the hospital room of Joan Rivers. What is known is that she is on life support after being placed in a medically induced coma. No one is telling if Joan would be able to survive on her own if she was taken off life support or if she is going to stay on it for some time to try and recover. No one is telling if she will recover. The family is planning on suing the doctor who performed the throat surgery that landed the 81 year old in the hospital after she stopped breathing and suffered cardiac arrest during what was called a minor procedure on her vocal chords. Melissa Rivers says that the family is touched by all the support for Joan and the hospital where she is located has been overwhelmed by the number of flowers and cards sent to the Fashion Police host. 

Joan Rivers In Critical Condition

While undergoing a procedure on her throat this morning, Joan Rivers stopped breathing and suffered cardiac arrest. She was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital this morning and her daughter Joan Rivers is flying to NYC to be with her mom.
