Yoko And The Jonas Brothers

After not touring together for several years the Jonas Brothers were all set to go on tour beginning this weekend. Unfortunately for them there were some issues. The main issue in their little quest for a return to relevancy is that ticket sales were abysmal. It turns out not that many people were all that keen on spending the night listening to the three brothers sing some songs that were not all that popular in the first place. The group was popular but none of the songs ever did that great.

The second issue is that Danielle Jonas decided her husband should take charge and put his foot down and tell his brothers what kind of music they should be playing. Apparently that didn't go over that well but Danielle insisted so the puppy dog did as he was told.

Meanwhile, the other two brothers had their own ideas of what they wanted to do and not surprising anyone, listening to Danielle was not at the top of the list. One thing they all did agree on is that they needed some controversy and a way out of half empty venues so the canceling of the tour for creative differences gave them an easy out.

Nick Jonas Understands Why People Think He's Gay

In an interview with Out Magazine by my buddy Sam Lansky asked the Jonas Brothers about the gay rumors. he didn't come out and ask them if they were gay and Kevin didn't answer the question but Joe said they have gay fans and friends and that people assume because they are in a boy band that they are gay and he doesn't take offense.

Nick then stepped in and gave this quote. "Prior to us being a band, I was a super theater geek. I loved theater and I still do, and I care about fashion, and I care about a lot of things that I feel like stereotypes are attached to." He is right. There are stereotypes attached to loving theatre and fashion but that doesn't really answer the question. I don't care if the guy is gay or not and they are not trying to be Disney guys any longer so why worry about what Disney has to say or the fans they brought over from the past. People love good music whether it comes from someone who is gay or not.

I'm not saying Nick is gay I just think the entire trio is afraid of saying the wrong thing or taking a step out of place because this is going to be the last time they have a chance to have a huge publicity push behind an album. After this it will be side projects and a solo album every few years until they finally give it up and head on tour with Miley and Justin when they are all in their 40's.

The Jonas Brothers Are Getting A Reality Show

Want to see three people who used to be three of the biggest stars on the planet now trying to scratch out a living? Welcome to the world of the Jonas Brothers and their new reality show. I always love watching people try and stay famous. The Jonas Brothers will never be hurting for money so at this point being on a reality show is all about fame for them. Well, keeping a death grip on fame. With one brother basically doing nothing, another on Broadway and another trying have sex in some kind of race with Wilmer Valderrama to see who can finish the 90210 zip code first the show should be interesting to watch as they will probably try and talk about all their new projects and try to achieve success but realizing as the season progresses that they would be better off opening a show in Vegas and then after 10 years there hit the casino circuit for 20 years followed by an extended stay in Branson until they pass away.

A Jonas Brothers Reunion

At his birthday party over the weekend, Kevin Jonas spoke to Kneepads about a possible Jonas Brothers reunion now that all the brothers will be living on the East Coast. I think the time is wrong for them to reunite. The only way these boy band reunion things work is if you wait a few years and have people miss you and are willing to spend $100 a ticket to see you again. Then, the second part is to hopefully hook up with another group or singer trying to do the same thing. Five years or maybe even ten years from now I can totally see a Jonas Brothers Miley Cyrus reunion show. That would work. All they would get now are a bunch of half empty places and no record sales.

Jason Mraz Wants His Money Back

In an effort to see if the Jonas Brothers tune Introducing Me was the same as Jason's song, I'm Yours, the singer coughed up some money and paid it to iTunes. Although he noticed similarities between his song and the one by The Jonas Brothers, he told PopEater that he was not planning on suing but wanted his money back after listening to their song.

"I heard the song, and it was just a tremendous, tremendous horror of a tune. I noticed a few similarities in the melody, but it wasn't enough to pick up the phone and argue with somebody about it. If anything, I just wanted my $1.29 back that I spent on iTunes."
