Marilyn Monroe Sex Tape To Be Sold

Apparently there is a guy in Argentina who claims he has a Marilyn Monroe sex tape made in the 1940's and he is offering it for sale. What is strange is who would actually buy the tape. Let me tell you why. Back in 1997, this same guy sold a sex tape that was in 16mm film and that tape was later made into about 600,000 copies until the original was sold to a collector for $600K.

So, is this a new sex tape the guy is selling? No. It is an 8mm version that is exactly the same as the 16mm version. So, why would anyone buy it if there are 600,000 copies of the 16mm version? It makes no sense to me. Apparently there are those who also doubt whether the tape is really Marilyn. It was good enough where someone dropped $1.2M for it and good enough where her estate did not sue back in 1997 when he sold the first one. When I look at the pictures, I don't think it looks exactly like her, but it was before she was discovered and in her late teens and not any older than 21. The other question is how did a sex tape of Marilyn from the 1940's end up in Argentina?

Angelina Jolie As Marilyn Monroe. Really?

The Telegraph is reporting that the book The Life And Opinions Of Maf The Dog is about to start shooting and that Angelina Jolie will be playing Marilyn Monroe and George Clooney will be playing Frank Sinatra. Crazy. I can maybe, maybe see Clooney as Sinatra. I think he is too nice. Angelina Jolie as Marilyn? Not a chance.

The story is about Marilyn and the last two years of her life as seen through her dog which was a gift from Sinatra in 1960.

Marilyn Monroe JFK Photo Released

Today would have been Marilyn Monroe's 84th birthday. In memory of that day, the only photograph of Marilyn Monroe with JFK was released today. There were lots of photos taken of the couple together but this is the only one which was not confiscated. The photographer, Cecil Stoughton had all of his photos taken by the Secret Service but this one survived because it was being dried at the time his photos were removed.

The photo was taken shortly after Marilyn sang Happy Birthday to the President. It is also striking because JFK turned away from the camera which he never did. Also in the photo is Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The event was also the last major public event for Marilyn before her death later that same year. If you are in Los Angeles, you can view the photo at the Art & Artifact Gallery in West Hollywood. Ten signed prints were made of the picture. 9 of them are on sale for $23K each. The 10th print? It was given to Michael Jackson.

Marilyn Monroe Smoking Pot

People just keep figuring out new ways to talk about Marilyn Monroe or make a buck off her. You would think by now every photograph or movie featuring Marilyn would have shown up. Apparently not though because some former friend of Marilyn probably needed a boost to her retirement nest egg so she released a one minute clip of a home video from the 1950's which shows Marilyn Monroe smoking what appears to be pot. Who knows? Is it worth a minute of your time? Sure, why not and Marilyn seems to be giggling and it shows you that even back then people would do crazy things on film. Of course back then there was no internet so people would have had to come over to the friend's house to watch the pot smoking video. Now we just fire up the old YouTube machine and get to watch a piece of history right from our own chair. The movie was silent so I picked out the one with a decent background song.

How You Know When You Have Too Much Money

Have you been following the auction on eBay where the woman was trying to sell the crypt above Marilyn Monroe so she could pay off her mortgage? Well, it ended yesterday and the winning bid was $4.6M. That's right. Someone was willing to pay many millions of dollars just so their coffin could be on top of Marilyn's coffin for all eternity. Oh, or until their family member needs a couple of bucks.

The way the story goes is this. Back in the day when Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn were married, they bought burial spots on top of each other. I guess maybe people did that back then or it was an additional place people could register for wedding gifts. Anyway, when Joe and Marilyn were divorcing I guess Joe didn't want anything to do with her ever again and sold his spot to Elsie Poncher's husband who also bought the one diagonal to Marilyn for his wife. Eternal 3some anyone?

Marilyn died and then Elsie's husband died at the age of 81 back in 1986. It is now 23 years later so I'm guessing Elsie's husband liked them young, or Elsie is really, really old.

Elsie's husband's body is face down so he can stare at Marilyn. He will now be moved to the diagonal spot, and Elsie will be cremated when she dies.

So, if you are the family of the person who just bought this crypt, aren't you going to sell the spot immediately after the person dies? You think they would respect the wishes of the dead, but someone is going to respect almost $5M a lot more.

A reader named Sue e-mailed me an interesting theory as to who the winning bidder was. Back in 2007, Howard K Stern looked into the possibility of Anna Nicole Smith being buried next to Marilyn but couldn't convince anyone to move. Maybe her Estate bought the spot and now it will be Anna, Marilyn and Hef (spot next to Marilyn) with Elsie's husband watching it all.

Marilyn Monroe And Leggings?

Lindsay Lohan launches her line of leggings today in New York. The brand 6126 is so called because it is the birth date of Marilyn Monroe. “I named the collection after Marilyn Monroe’s birth
date, because to me she represents timeless, confident glam -­ and that is
 the voice of this brand.”

Umm, I would agree that Marilyn Monroe was confident in what she wore and definitely a fashion maven. I just don't think she would be wearing what Lindsay Lohan wears and I don't see Marilyn Monroe anywhere in this. i am not the biggest fan of leggings. You would think as a guy, I probably would be, because hey, lets face it, they are always tight, and the way Lindsay wears them you can see just about anything. But to me, that is not glam or classy, just trashy. Marilyn was never about trashy. She was about teasing and being feminine and making you desire her. I don't get that same feeling when I think of Lindsay or her clothes. All I want to do is take a shower.

I also hate how she is exploiting Marilyn Monroe for her own personal benefit. By naming the line 6126 she knows she is going to be asked where it comes from and so then she has this stock answer, and in the very next sentence the reporter will probably mention how Lindsay posed nude just like Marilyn and blah, blah, blah.

Lindsay Lohan is not even close to a Marilyn Monroe, and it is sad that she is trying to use Marilyn for her own personal gain. I wonder if the Estate of Marilyn might like to have a few words with Lindsay.
