Today's Blind Items - The Play Thing - Old Hollywood

This actress is foreign born. (AA) She was never huge. She was very well known, but never had a huge career. Her life was just tabloid after tabloid because of her scandalous life. Very early on in her career when she was barely out of her teens she got to know this alliterate A list actor (BB) and his wife. For the next two decades she would be their third so to speak. Whenever she was in town she would stay with them and in return, BB would put her in many of his movies. Now, being the third, did not always sit right with the men in her life, especially her "royal" husband. (CC) Even though he had a variety of legal teens and underage teens that he saw regularly, he was extremely jealous of his wife seeing anyone else. He would beat her and us his money to try to keep her in line, but it never worked. He was usually barred from her film sets because he would go into rages if she wore any low cut dresses or had any kind of kissing scene with actors. He would then beat her when she got home. They only lived together for a few years, but their divorce took forever. She had a child with him but he raised the child because she was woefully inadequate as a mother. When she had a second child out of wedlock, the baby died at six months because she was simply too busy to take care of it.

Everyone always said that this director/producer/3D innovator/A list discoverer of talent was protective. What that really meant was that if you did as you were told and did who you were told to do, then he protected you. Our director discovered lots of actors, including a permanent A list actor who is very much alive and has multiple Oscar wins/nominations. The actors really didn't have to do anything other than act. The women on the other hand were cast in lots of  movies, but they also had to help secure the financing for said  movie. Our director would travel across the country with a handful of women who had been in movies and offer them up to rich men or bankers or whoever he could convince to give a few bucks to. He was very generous in paying the women, but he would happily sell one off if said banker or rich person wanted their very own movie actress as a wife or girlfriend.

While married to #3 she has her leg amputated but prior to that has a steamy relationship with this foreign born A list actor (#5) who won multiple Oscars. When #1 died of cancer while married her last word was to call out to #5.

This actress was permanently A list. She had two of the biggest names in the world fighting for her. One of them was super rich and the other super famous. They always said they would kill themselves if they couldn't be with her, but never hurt the actress. That being said, she had another pursuer. An actor who was also A list and an Academy Award winner. He was actually five years younger than our actress. They made a  movie together. He was extremely jealous and also extremely violent. While making the movie, he rap*d her nearly every single day. When she tried to fight him off, he would beat her. When she tried to change hotels, he would hunt her down and then beat her some more. He threatened to destroy her career by slicing her face with broken pieces of glass. Usually he did his damage to her after filming each day, but one day he decided that he wanted her during the day and she said no and he beat her and this permanent A list director from a very famous  acting family had to pull our actor off the actress.

You would think that after all these years, the story could be told, but the author was told no. She had it in the book. It happened to her so why couldn't she put it into the book? It would cause problems. It would open up more conspiracy theories. She was given dozens of reasons, but the bottom line was that the her team wanted to get paid so pulled it out so the book would be published. The way it was described in the book was that she was in Hollywood and was celebrating something with her mother. Our author was about 14 or 15 at the time. At this restaurant also happened to be this alliterate actress and an A++ lister. The alliterate actress came over to say hi and the A++ lister did as well. The author said that about twenty minutes later, the alliterate actress came back and asked if the author would like to join the actress and the A++ lister. She said yes. She was given something to drink and the next thing she says she remembers is being in a hotel bed with the actress and the A++ lister. A few hours later she was given a ride home. So, why would that story be blocked all these years later?

It might have been the wedding of the century. It was certainly the wedding of the 60's. Hollywood. The Mamas And Papas performing. An Oscar winner conducting an orchestra. The crazy thing about it is that the groom had already been married before and would marry twice more after this one. The groom was an actor. He was foreign born and at one point was close to A list. His wife for this reception was also an actress. She was never really higher than A- list and that might be a stretch. Our groom actually was sleeping with random people up to the night before the wedding. He also slept with random people almost every day he was married. At this particular reception though, the LSD and the pot flowed. It became an orgy. The bride and groom hooked up with multiple people at the reception. The Oscar winning conductor was orally serviced while he was conducting. Go ask the singer/actress from the singing group about that night and she will tell you that when she wrote her autobiography, she was going to include that reception but that her publishers thought it was too wild for the book.
