Road House Is Getting A Remake

There is something about Road House that is perfect. No, not the story which is straight out of a bad A Team script. It really isn't the acting either because Patrick Swayze kind of phoned his performance in. It is the kind of movie that works because of the bad story and bad acting. It probably should have never been made in the first place but it was and it is a great way to spend a couple of hours when you come across it during some late night channel surfing.

The last thing Road House needs is a remake. Why remake a movie that shouldn't have been made in the first place. I think this is Hollywood's way of trying to erase Patrick Swayze from their memories. First there was the Red Dawn remake and now this. Rob Cohen, the director of Fast And The Furious is set to take charge of the project.

Kirstie Alley Almost had Affair With Patrick Swayze

Apparently every actor in the 90's was in love with Kirstie Alley while she was married to Parker Stevenson. To hear Kirstie tell it, every guy in Hollywood was lined up to date her or wanted her and she wanted them all just as badly but her marriage vows kept her from actually being physical with any of them. Last week Kirstie shared with all of us how John Travolta is the love of her life and how close they came to having sex. Uh huh. Last night on Entertainment Tonight she says that during the filming of North And South that Patrick Swayze and Kirstie fell in love with each other while they were both married but that neither of them did anything about it physically because they were both married. Next week Kirstie will tell us all about the time she and George Wendt couldn't keep their hands off each other during Cheers and how Tom Cruise calls her late at night wanting to talk dirty.

Danielle Swayze Marries Neo-Nazi

The niece of Patrick Swayze and daughter of True Blood star, Don Swayze has married a neo-Nazi skinhead with ties to a group that wants to kill President Obama. According to The Enquirer, the two got married a couple of months ago after meeting online and then hooked up at a neo-Nazi rally. Aww, and I bet Jesse James performed their wedding ceremony. Danielle Swayze has not spoken to her father since he and her mother split and The Enquirer got to break the news to the guy that his daughter married a guy with the word Racist tattooed on his forehead. Wow. No going back on that one. Also sure to charm the father-in-law is the fact that Danielle's new husband is the founder of the Aryan Terror Brigade and has been convicted twice for committing violent crimes. There is no way that Danielle could let this wonderful guy go huh? I mean you just don't find quality men like this very often. Who the f**k gets racist tattooed on their forehead? Who gets anything tattooed on their forehead? This is the guy you want to spend the rest of your life with? Danielle should get a tattoo on her forehead that says, "I'm With Idiot," and then an arrow.

Lisa Niemi Talks About Patrick Swayze And His Drinking

Lisa Niemi sat down with The Times Of London to talk about the life of her husband, Patrick Swayze and the book they wrote together about their 34 years of marriage. I would have thought she would pick a different forum, but she does discuss a great deal including the fact that although she loved Patrick there was also no one she feared more when he had been drinking. "For me the worst thing about him was the drinking. He had a different personality when he drank that much. He was the nicest man on the planet unless he'd had a drink. People or animals could have got hurt when he was like that. It's not good to be around anyone like that."

She said that at one point in 2006, she escaped from him during the middle of the night. he had been drinking and was terrifying so when he passed out she escaped. She was asked why she didn't leave while he was awake and she said that if she had tried he would have shot out the tires with a gun. She said that in 2006 when he was in London performing in a musical that he was at his rock bottom. He tried rehab and even a psychic but wouldn't quit drinking. He finally stopped only after Lisa left him.

She does say some great things about him, and if you are a fan, you will like what she has to say. I do like how she is honest about their life and their marriage and the issues they faced.

Suzanne Somers Apologizes - Kind Of

I guess Suzanne Somers apologized to the family of Patrick Swayze. I mean she said the words she was sorry, but it didn't really sound as if she meant it. On her website, Suzanne said, "In a casual conversation at a party (with someone who never identified himself as a reporter)... I was asked about this beloved actor.

"It was never my intention to make an official statement about his passing. I was not informed or aware I was being interviewed. I would never have been so insensitive as to offer a public statement so close to his untimely passing."

She added: "I sincerely apologize if my comment has caused any additional pain to his family during this difficult time. I send my deepest condolences for their loss... I was a major fan of Patrick's work, and would never do anything to hurt him or his family."

Suzanne had said the treatment Patrick received poisoned him and the she would have done things differently if she were his doctor including building him up nutritionally and then ridding him of toxins. Umm, does it matter that she was speaking to a reporter? If she didn't know the person that means she was perfectly willing to tell a stranger that she thought Patrick was poisoned. I'm guessing if she had an "official statement" to make she would have lied and not mentioned what she really thought? The whole thing kind of seems like a way to try and control the damage and incidentally get herself some more publicity when everyone writes that she apologized.

Suzanne Somers Says Patrick Swayze Was Killed By Chemo

It doesn't take long for someone to come out of the woodwork and look a little kooky after a celebrity death. The problem is that when it is another celebrity then other people believe what they say and then have questions about what they are doing to themselves and might stop based on the ramblings of an infomercial queen.

Suzanne Somers was in Toronto for the film festival and she was asked about Patrick Swayze's death.

"They took a beautiful man and put poison in his body. Why couldn't they have built him up nutritionally and gotten rid of the toxins? . . . I hate to be this controversial . . . but I have to speak out."

She also has to speak out because she has a book about cancer coming out next month and so a little controversy will probably help those book sales. Suzanne is a cancer survivor so she can definitely talk about her own cancer fight and I also know that everyone can make their own decision about what they want to do to fight the cancer in their body. I don;t even know what she is talking about here. Chemo is a poison and the idea is that it kills the cancer before it kills you. I don't understand what she means about getting rid of toxins. Does she think people should do a GOOP cleanse if they get cancer? Patrick had one of the most aggressive types of cancer. To me what Suzanne is advocating is that he should not have done any chemo which just seems wrong. Just this week I found out that one of my friends is cancer free after being diagnosed last year with cervical cancer. She lost all her hair and suffered through chemo but her cancer is gone and hopefully she will be healthy enough to spend the next fifty years with her husband and children. I don't think I would be sitting here saying the same thing if she had decided to forego chemo and follow Suzanne's advice.
