Woody Allen Responds

In a letter being published in tomorrow's New York Times, Woody Allen responds to the claims that his daughter Dylan Farrow made. Namely that Woody Allen abused her when she was seven. Here is the thing. You can read the letter as much as you want and he brings up lots of good points and has a lot of supporting evidence on his side. The problem that Woody Allen will always have is that he ended up marrying one of his daughters. Woody can talk about results from Yale and independent experts and whatever else he wants but the bottom line is this. He lost custody and visitation rights and he married his daughter. I don't care if Soon Yi is his adopted daughter or was just a kid living there when he moved in. He treated her like a daughter. He said she was his daughter and at some point he married her. Are you telling me he didn't maybe want that same kind of relationship with Dylan first and later Soon Yi gave it to him. So, he can say what he wants and write what he wants, but he will never convince me he didn't sexually abuse his daughter.

Moses Farrow Takes Woody Allen's Side

Moses Farrow doesn't talk to most of his brothers and sisters. The people he is closest to are his sister Soon Yi and his dad/brother-in-law? Anyway, Moses has been trotted out to the world to tell Woody Allen's side of the story which we still haven't heard directly from Woody. Moses says that the day Dylan couldn't have been molested the day in question and is just trying to get on her mother's good side because you don't want to be on the wrong side of Mia Farrow.

He told Kneepads, "My mother drummed it into me to hate my father for tearing apart the family and sexually molesting my sister. And I hated him for her for years. I see now that this was a vengeful way to pay him back for falling in love with Soon-Yi. The day in question, there were six or seven of us in the house. We were all in public rooms and no one, not my father or sister, was off in any private spaces. My mother was conveniently out shopping. I don’t know if my sister really believes she was molested or is trying to please her mother. Pleasing my mother was very powerful motivation because to be on her wrong side was horrible."

Dylan says she is saddened by what her brother said to Kneepads and that her mother never coached her.

Woody Allen Denies Sexual Assault Allegations - Cate Blanchett Speaks

Yesterday, Woody Allen's rep said that Woody Allen would soon respond personally to the allegations that Dylan Farrow sexually assaulted her when she was seven years old. Meanwhile, his rep said , "Mr. Allen has read the article and found it untrue and disgraceful. He will be responding very soon." I'm wondering if he will ever respond. The only thing he can do is slam Mia Farrow because he is going to look even more like a jerk if he slams Dylan for something she believed happened to her at the age of seven.

Even though no charges were ever filed against Woody, the court did order that he could no longer visit her. When asked about Dylan's letter Cate Blanchett had this to say. "It's obviously been a long and painful situation for the family and I hope they find some resolution and peace." Well, she pretty much said nothing and no one asked she a followup question. I bet she is worried about winning the Academy Award for Blue Jasmine and having a hundred reporters asking her about it backstage after she wins.

Woody spent the afternoon of the firestorm at a Knicks game and left early in the 4th quarter so he wouldn't have to be confronted by any reporters.
