Carrie Underwood Thinks She Is A Huge Star

You know, Carrie Underwood is a good singer. I think even without American Idol she would have had success. She probably would have had to work a little harder than she has. Maybe the sudden fame has gone to her head or something, but she is acting like she gets swarmed by paps everyday and does not have a moment's peace.

Think back to when you saw paps staking out her house or following her down the street. With the exception of when she shows up at a hockey game, most pictures taken of her are at events. People just don't think she is all that exciting. She is blah. Her soon to be husband, Mike Fisher, is a decent hockey player and I'm sure in Ottawa he is beloved, but most people here have no clue who he is.

So, with all of that it has been a shock to read about how she hired out the entire hotel where she is getting married so there would not be paps. How she is being flown to the hotel in a helicopter. How all the guests will need to wait at the airport and will be told where to go when they have all gathered. Hey guests. Here is a hint. She is getting married at The Ritz Carlton Lodge in Greensboro Georgia. No need to sit around the airport.

She acts like this is Sean Penn and Madonna. No one cares. Yes, someone will give you a courtesy check for your wedding photos, but, no one is refreshing your website looking for every wedding detail. This is a Kneepads wedding and I am sure it will be lovely, but I think Carrie has a much higher opinion of her popularity than everyone else.

Alex Wong Goes Home

I have been kind of an on and off viewer of So You Think You Can Dance. Some seasons I think it is great and others, meh. Getting to watch Alex Wong this year though has been a revelation. The guy is flat our amazing. Having watched the America version and the Canadian version, I have not seen anyone come close to Alex. Last night he went home though. Not because he sucked, but because he got injured. He is going to need surgery and then three months of rehab after he tore his Achilles tendon.

If you did not get a chance to see him dance, you missed out. Damn. He trained as a ballet dancer, but this hip-hop routine was the best dance ever on the history of the show.

This Blind Item deals with a female judge or host on a reality show. She absolutely cannot stand her boss who is a big-time network exec. Both have clashed egos more than once, but it wasn’t always that way. When the two first met, they flirted terribly, leading to a one night stand. After that, things went sour and the two create terrible tension behind the scenes of the show. The other judges/cast/crew/etc. are often caught in the middle and everyone is hoping to get rid of this female judge next season.

ESPN Analyst Arrested On Child Porn Charges

Jeremy Green, the son of former NFL coach, Dennis Green, and a pro football analyst on the network was arrested yesterday afternoon in Bristol, Connecticut and charged with possession of child pornography, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.

There are not any details being released and everything is under seal because of the nature of the charges. He has worked for ESPN for five years and has been on television and worked for their internet site and if true, a despicable human being.

ESPN did not have any comment about the arrest. Have to love those Disney companies.

Lindsay Lohan Stuff

For the second night in a row, Lindsay Lohan stayed home and self medicated in privacy rather than going out and facing the paps and partying until all hours of the night. There was not much to report on yesterday. Lindsay is supposedly asking that opening bids on her first post jail interview should start at $1M and go from there. Umm, let me tell you right now. If she gets paid that kind of money I will go absolutely crazy. There is no way you should reward someone for not being responsible or reward someone because they served 3 weeks in jail. For $1M, I would go spend 3 weeks in jail.

The world needs to shame every network and tabloid into doing what they did after Paris Hilton got out of jail. She thought she was going to get paid. The world came down hard and she ended up lying to Larry King for free. That is the way it should be. Don't pay someone for drinking and driving and not following the law because that is what they would be doing.

Lindsay fired her amazing lawyer and hired someone who became a lawyer in November. Good luck with that. But hey, she only charges about 10% of what Shawn did.

Michael also told Lindsay that he will visit her in jail every day and Kate Major will too. Good times. He said Dina Lohan probably won't because she is drunk half the time and stealing ice cream cakes.

Oh, and Lindsay says her sentence violates Article 5 of the UN. "It is clearly stated in Article 5 of the U.N. Universal Declaration of Human Rights that.... No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment."

Umm, has she seen I Know Who Killed Me, because it was all of those things ans she got paid for my torture.

Drew Peterson Stays Locked Up

Yesterday I really thought that Drew Peterson was going to be let out on bail. He has been locked up for over a year and can't get out unless he can come up with the money to satisfy a $20M bail. But, all that I thought was going to change. Peterson is currently in jail awaiting trial for the murder of his third wife. How many did he murder anyway? Allegedly. I mean there is every chance in the world that he has just managed to marry women who disappear or die mysteriously at young ages.

So, prosecutors had lost a very important pre-trial ruling about using second hand statements and hearsay. It is devastating, and without it, they will lose their case. So, they are appealing the pre-trial ruling which will take about a year. I have never ever heard of someone being kept locked up during one of these pre-trial appeals. Ever. Well, the judge figured out a way to do it, and s instead of going home and finding someone else to kill (allegedly), Peterson will stay in jail where I hope he remains for the rest of his life.

Sophie Monk Talks About Catching Her Boyfriend In Bed With Another Woman

I think Sophie Monk wants to be more known in the US. An Australian actress, she really is not known for much here other than dating Benji Madden until someone more wealthy came along. She then dumped him and he moved on to Paris Hilton who dumped him. That is a lot of dumping. Sorry Benji. But hey, you do have Nicole Richie for a sister-in-law.

Anyway, Sophie has never really had any gossip here about her. In Australia? Absolutely. She is a big mess over there, but here, we don't really care. So, apparently she wants to change all of that and told a story to a radio program about how she caught her now ex-boyfriend John Diaz in bed with another girl. The problem with her story is that it does not make any sense which leads me to believe it is all about getting her name out there. She accomplished that, but one quick look at the story and you can tell she is making it up.

“I woke up in the morning with a coffee and presents and he [Diaz] had a present there – a chick." OK, first of all we are supposed to say, look how nice she is that she wakes up and wants to give him coffee and gifts and instead he is with another woman. The thing is she says they lived together at the time this happened. So, did they sleep in separate bedrooms or did she get up, go out and get some coffee and presents and he called someone over to have sex? It makes no sense.

She says she left and then decided to go back and “I walked back in and went, ‘What’s going on?’ and actually had a conversation. I spoke to the girl. She was in shock. I didn’t know her. She was innocent.”

Sophie then says she took the coffee and spilled it on the guys car. Wow. Don't go crazy there Sophie. After that happened, Sophie decided to give the guy a few more chances but they eventually broke up. Yep, she gave him more chances.
