Jennifer Capriati has had a drug history and seems pretty messed up. Not sure if intravenous drugs but I think she was probably top 5 at some point. Haven't heard much about her the last few years.
I think whomever it is we should respect their privacy.

Enty has been increasing his number of HIV blinds lately. Must have received a great increase of clicks after that Britney reveal.
HIV and AIDS are different illnesses. The people who are living for long periods of time have HIV. The goal is to never let HIV manifest into AIDS. The meds help stave that off. AIDS is much more difficult to combat and life expectancy is much shorter.

@Tom Stockdale--How is gossiping about HIV (and making it seem shameful on here) any different than gossiping about other STDs, which people do on this site CONSTANTLY. Men are called dogs and man whores and pigs and women are sluts and cum dumpsters when blinds are about the herp or whatever else and it's perfectly okay, yet HIV is off limits? I guess I don't see the distinction.

Anyone can contract HIV for a couple of reasons, usually unsafe sex or needle sharing, and the sex of the person has nothing to do with contracting it.
Also, HIV is a condition, not a full blown syndrome - that's AIDS, which is not a disease but a syndrome through which people get life-threatening diseases. No one dies of AIDS but rather the diseases one gets due to AIDS' total suppression of the immune system.
HIV or AIDS are no more "shameful" than any other conditions, syndromes or diseases (diabetes, cancer, COPD, herpes, etc.). Tom Hanks has type-2 diabetes = no big deal. Yet if he had HIV = OMG, horrible person! This is stupid and bigoted in the extreme.

Just checked, Monica Seles is doing great, phew. I loved her, and she's got a great attitude about how her career was destroyed.

Very sad for whoever it is. I saw some pictures of Gabriela Sabatini recently, and she wasn't looking very good. Capriati wouldn't come as much of a surprise.
I heard back in June that Monica Seles was very sick. But she also admitted to bulimia, so not sure. But I have it from a reliable source that she is indeed, not doing well.

The blind doesn't say the person is a top 5 of all times, just a former top 5 player, plain and simple.
And I think people are upset mainly because of the sensationalism of saying the person is dying of AIDS when in fact they may be just HIV+. Because I can't imagine anyone with that type of money and access to the best medical treatment unable to maintain their health if that's what they in fact wanted to do, stay alive!
